Maybe?
I had a friend that would tell us her bed would shake in the middle of the night, and always felt a "presence" in her place. So, one night she had a small gathering over and (yes, I'm fully aware how stupid the following sequence sounds) so we decided to mess with her and one of us brought a Ouija board over to mess with her. We put her yankee candles in a pentagram, lit them, and played some "satanic" music off youtube.
So, the instant we all sat down one of the guys got a massive nose bleed. 2spooky4us, so we said "fuck that" and just went back to drinking/partying. I spent the night and experienced the symptoms of sleep paralysis. I couldn't move, felt pinned down, and could see a black opaque "thing" that was doing it.
It's all the classic symptoms of sleep paralysis, but the oddity of it occurring that night planted a small seed of doubt. I've never experienced it beforehand (decades) and haven't experienced it again.
So, either got visited by a spookie or got a single dose shot of sleep paralysis.
