Wasn't the original goal to just have their story told and to let everyone know what Channel Awesome's management did to them?

And didn't they succeed in getting most of the producers to quit the site so that no one else really has to go through what they went through?

Protection of others was never truly a goal. It's a nice way of avoiding to admit that they only did it to be petty dicks, that's all.
They wanted Doug, Rob and Michaud to suffer, since they are all mad as fuck that these three guys did amazingly well while these self-absorbed "victims" were off so much worse. They wanted CA to implode and cease to exist, but all they achieved was in vain. Doug is going as strong as ever and what he lost was a lot of people riding his coattails, anyway. So a shitton of people left CA, most of them (if not all) are worse off, while Doug lost a few subs, but over all, it doesn't matter.
That's why they are so mad even to this day.

Allison should have moved on years ago, by still clinging to her little shitstorm, she just looks like a crazy, petty, vindictive harpy.

The speed in which Lupa and Marzgurl shifted from #ChangeTheChannel to #KickVic really exposed their true nature and intentions.
They want to dictate, via Twitter, who is next to be dragged into the Town Square of public opinion and financially beheaded.

Much of their vindictiveness comes from being discarded by the rebooted Youtube-friendly Nostalgia Critic crew. Keep in mind, it was already apparent even before #ChangeTheChannel that Doug had no intention of including the Channel Awesome contributors with the NC reboot. You could say that's what primarily motivated #CTC in the first place.

Pretty much, yeah. They wanted a sincere apology from Doug and the higher ups. And when Mike (probably him) released first his statement and then the response that outed JewWario, they saw that as CA doubling down, and more people left as a result.

As for wanting Doug Walker to be driven off the internet into financial ruin because poetic justice, they’re probably not going to admit that ulterior motive if it’s true. The only one who’s open about their hatred for Doug Walker and company is MisAnthroPony, and he just keeps it relegated to doing responses to NC videos and going on about how Doug Walker sucks and creating hashtags like #ChannelAwful.

Allison has nothing else other than her YouTube channel & Twitter. She'll never give up #ChangetheChannel because...well, she has nothing else. She doesn't seem like she gets out, takes a break from social media, hangs out with friends, goes on a little vacation....her entire life is online. She is one of those people who will perseverate on one thing, one little injustice, for the rest of her life. It's sad, really. Most everyone else seems to have moved on, even if it's to new drama. Allison is still beating this dead, rotten horse carcass.

Brad has moved on and seems happy. He stood by his friends (for better or worse) and for the most part, seems happy. He's making a movie, he has friends, he has a wife, he seems to get out, go to cons & even do things that just make him happy. And she can't stand it. He didn't jump ship with CA, he didn't comment on it, and he wasn't crucified. Back when I watched their videos, Lupa & Phelan seemed to work well together when they did a crossover. Her over the top style with his more deadpan approach was decent enough. But I never got anything other than a 'good friends' vibe with them, no romance or attraction at all. I've also (possibly power-leveling here, but what the hell), seen them interact in person and....there was no real attraction or anything that said they were together. You don't have to be all over each other, dry humping, but little things like sitting next to each other at a restaurant, waiting for the other person when you leave a place as a group...small stuff like that. There was none of it.

Pretty much. The statement and 2nd response was probably an honest way to address things on CA’s end even if it seemed like it was Michaud by himself and made people go “if only he had someone like Holly”. Even without the JW reveal, it still kind of felt like a double down stand your ground.

As for the wanting to die/shutdown/fold/have Mike ousted so a new site of the ex-producers being a genuine family instead of everyone being miserable behind the scenes (probably headed by Holly) emerges in its place, I never got that initially. Sure hindsight is 20/20 but when the producers’ exodus happened and the tenth anniversary special was canceled and rumors were flying, it really did seem like the end was coming. Nowadays, with Channel Awesome being a fossil and all the other producers basically at the same place as they were a year ago, talking about it now seems like they believe in karma and poetic justice and are waiting for comeuppance to be received. However, nobody told them that life isn’t like the entertainment they review where sometimes the bad guys win and/or escape significant punishment that isn’t a slap on the wrist because fuck you.

Allison seems to believe that a comment she saw saying someone should punch her in the throat is equally upsetting as the police showing up for a suicide check at a family's funeral for someone who committed suicide. One of her followers compares Brad standing by Channel Awesome to finding out your friend is a rapist.
