Man, it's gonna be awkward when that tome of TCPA gets tossed out and Funimation throws everyone else under the bus to save themselves
From what I’ve seen, all 3 are double down types. Nobody’s gonna throw anybody because that’s testing against them and helping Vic.

Its a freakin high school operation, and the contempt they show for their fans was a red flag from the beginning, for if they treat the people who keep them working like that, how are they gonna treat their co-workers?
Didn’t nick say VAs told him this was all motivated by jealousy?

They're using the privileged nature of court filings to further defame Vic.
Hasn’t that been the plan from the first time they stepped in a courtroom?

Jaime Marchi apparently also filed TCPA today.

When are the hearings exactly? And is the judge so not in tune with the internet that he can’t see how the court system is being manipulated and used by the defendants?

Funimation's (filed July 1st) is set for August 8th. Unknown for MoRon and Jamie.

I mentioned this in Nick's stream thread, they aren't playing to win the motion. They are playing to ruin Vic's reputation in a salted-nuclear strike. The stuff in this TCPA is going to follow Vic around the rest of his life as if this hearsay garbage were facts proven in court. This is what Ron, Monica, Shane, et al meant when they said "it will all come out" not that it would be factual (these people don't believe in objective fact) but that people will hold this very public narrative against him forever.

Hasn’t his reputation been destroyed and the earth salted already? He’s lost his biggest current role in Qrow Branwen, the other anime companies won’t touch him because they’re softies who can’t take the bad PR, and it’s not like any actor is gonna help him get back on his feet because the mobs will call for their heads. If anything, the trial concludes, Vic is content with what he gets and he either gets work again or fades into obscurity. As for everyone else, Nick goes back to his streams, Ty takes his next case, and the defendants might get work again once the storm clouds clear because most anime fans and the internet at large don’t really care about shot until they or what they love is directly affected. The only thing that’s of note accomplished is that for however long, Vic was able to halt a #MeToo style purging of the American anime industry.

they will.... because his fans will badger the japanese and that risks their bottom line.

They re essentially those gossiping, sarcastic spinsters from victorian novels that spread untrue rumors in their village and ruin peoples' lives. Except now they spread rumors around the world.
Your dead on point I also would describe them like the Reign of terror episode during the french revolution. Not happy enough about the revolution off with your head! Call someone the wrong thing like Good Day Monsieur! instead of good day citizen, off with your head. Speak the wrong tone or have questions about things the leaders do, off with your head. At the heart is these people are plain evil.

And Ty is quietly looking for a Canadian lawyer.
He can't really do anything against them if all they are doing is citing legal documents in the public record. That's what makes this so dastardly. This was basically a consequence-free defamation dump. The lawyers can't really get in too much trouble for dragging it out there and hack journalists can't really get into trouble for citing it.

This is impossible for one reason.

Japan tends to be a hawk with its big budget money makers. They are watching dragonball and one piece like fucking hawks.... so you can be assured that funimation has not just toei's eye right now because of this incident. Again, I point out that no company in japan ever lets their employee's or even contractors do whatever they want. They keep an iron grip on them. There's a reason the japanese voice of vegeta was pulled out of kamehacon.

further, it's looking like Toei may make funi clean house regardless. Rial has been proven to be a toxic influence on sony and Toei cares about its brands image. Depending on what their translators are telling them, they're going to start iron gripping rial and company at minimum (yeah she will not like that one bit and will be begging vic to talk to them) or they're going to straight up make funi fire them.

Note: for evidence, I present to the court of kiwi farms a simple logic puzzle: if this isn't true then why isn't there a lot more drama over there? something like this would have the country in an uproar and calling for otaku heads to roll.
Apologies for the long response. Totally overlooked this post.

I'd say, because Japan doesn't have troons and rat kings trying to infiltrate their entertainment industries, and is near impossible to do so because they know that scissoring and fudge packing will not help make babies?

Please see BrandedEagle's response, as made on Monday of this week. Don't thank me, thank BrandedEagle.

So is it safe to say that Stan Dahlin is a bit pissed off about being involved in this, from the tweets it seems like hes in Vics side of things and questioning why Monica didnt say anything for so long, this has been the funniest part so far, the only witness calling bullshit.

Shes essentially saying he saw Vic do something and then both did nothing and continued to put them in rooms together. Shes borderline dragging his name through the mud without even a slight heads up. He should be mad as hell.

I'd jump on the Vic wagon faster than Nick can go through these super chats if I were him.

Yup. That was the purpose of it.

I'm telling everybody that "Ron Toye had a difficult time answering when Mr Beard asked if he was a pedophile. That's really concerning."

And after reading the TCPA whole motion, the affidavits are about 90% hearsay. Hearsay is typically inadmissible as evidence (its unsubstantiated testimony from a third party--the individual involved in the matter must provide the testimony, not the hearsayer); not sure how hearsay is handled in Texas, hopefully Nick will tell us.

Thanks for the shoutout. Makes me feel a bit better.
As for your question, that certainly is a part of it, but you have to examine idol culture for the answer. Control. Many companies, and by extension the agents of idols, control their employees. Idol's famously are not allowed to even kiss another boy without threat of termination.

Is this considered the tie breaker in the case? if he for instance testifies and says "shes a fucking liar and that didnt happen" what happens then?

It really depends on what Nick just talked about.

What did Tammy do in regards to following up on Monicas claims. Which lends alot of credence to the conspiracy angle.

Most importantly though it just proves that shes a lying sack of shit, on the court record, which is more valuable than gold imo.
