Weeb Wars / AnimeGate / #KickVic / #IStandWithVic / #vickicksback - General Discussion Thread

Good Christ, even Seitz has fallen? At this point I really am all in on Todd and Vic making their own studio. maybe the few survivors like Cherami and Trina may make it. The last hope however, is Matthew Mercer. If he falls, then well, to quote Dante; "Abandon all hope, yee who enter here."
I would personally go with Ruben Langdon's quote as the much cooler Dante to describe Weeb Wars as a whole. "This party's getting crazy!"

I think this genuinely proves Vic is a great guy. He's giving a real hug and is actually (or at least trying) looking happy and thankful. I don't believe Sabat or Schemmel would ever take a picture like that.
matter of fact: As far as i can tell there's not a single picture of Sabat with a Fan where he looks happy. Every time he makes some sort of "goofy" face. Presumably that is because he doesn't enjoy this. He is forcing himself into a role that includes contact with fans but he hates being in contact with said fans. Vic on the other hand LOVES being around the fans. Even those that are problematic Vic either just genuinely appreciates or at least is able to properly hide if he doesn't.

I literally expect nothing but the absolute minimum of being a decent human being from them, and then they do this shit.

What a time to be alive, amirite?

The bar for "decent human being" to me is "showing up within two hours of a stated time." I sincerely doubt any of these people could manage that.

But it's not a conspiracy, guys, that would be absurd.

Edit: Found the video of Adam Sheehan interviewing Vic that he mentions in his affidavit. Weird to watch this knowing the guy hated Vic and was only pretending to be friendly.

What's tattooed on Adam's left arm? Looks like some kind of script but I can't really make it out.

Sabat looks reasonably happy in the photos I've seen. His "goofy" face doesn't look strained or forced to me. It just happens to be (one of) his face(s). Now, he's probably badmouthing his fans behind their backs, and possibly accusing them of heinous crimes, but his rep with fans seems mostly positive.

What I'm getting at is that Sabat is convincing enough, whether he secretly hates anybody's guts or not.

We live in a time where people are openly brigading AGAINST human contact in any way shape or form. Soon I'll need to sign a consent form if I want to fuck anybody or sign a form if I want to do something as basic as hugging my nephew and giving him a peck on the cheek.
This is the future that they want and I want no fucking part of it.

You're going to need to sign a consent form and get it notarized.

Only having to sign consent forms in duplicate will legitimately be the future's equivalent to "I want you to grind my pelvis into fine powder right now", and not having to have multiple witnesses to the actual coitus is going to be as big as asking someone to marry them.

Found a video from ShadoCon 2010 on Friday, not in a panel, of Kara and Vic taking pictures with fans together. Afterwards Kara watches and laughs while Vic goofs around. This is two years after she had to lock herself in a bathroom crying in fear of him.

I saved this on webrecorder, but they sort of suck if anyone else wants to back it up.

fair point. It might just be my bias that has me see his faces as something fake

An infantalized world where all human interaction needs a bloody kindergarten teacher
Which is why I postulate this is the result of woefully hormonal women who didn't use their chance to have children and the time is now long gone. They want to turn the entire world into their children so they can exercise that maternity they never were able to develop on their own because they're awful women (I'm not saying all women without children are awful though).

This is literally what women like Monica, Marchi and Kaylyn are doing. They don't have children of their own so they're desperately policing what other children are allowed to do or not (like hugging or getting a cheeky kiss from Vic), regardless of what their actual, healthy parents decided already. It's clear as day, to me, at least.

And of course the thirsty white knights like Ron Toye are just a step behind making sure they get whatever they want - because if they're good bois they might get a chance to peek when Tyrone comes over to fuck their women.

Vic on the other hand LOVES being around the fans. Even those that are problematic Vic either just genuinely appreciates or at least is able to properly hide if he doesn't.
See, this is something that the KickVic VAs probably hold against him too. He's setting a bar example of how someone who is giving their time to sign and meet fans should be acting but from personal experience and from others shared online, it unfortunately is not the case. Most voice actors at cons always have this look of "Why the fuck am I here?" on them and even a cursory glance can more times than not confirm this. This unfortunately has also left an impression on the fans to the point that it has become normalized and they don't expect any different.

Always keep a look out for any con guests and how they interact with fans. If they're simply sitting behind a table and rushing things along, they're probably not worth it. If they get personable with the fans, keep an eye out on them.

I would like to blend this notion in with the fact that Vic himself is not a father to any child, nor has he had a father in his life for long, father figures notwithstanding. Like Nick said one of the depo streams, Vic makes homely-looking young women feel better about themselves, and in doing so, he encourages them to look better/be better as people so that they may have a chance to hear him or someone like him give them that support they heard from handsome, and warm gesturing Vic. Vic is like a father figure to those with low self-esteem. His career brings in the checks, sure, but it is an excellent platform to inspire change in the "typical anime fan".

It's truly galling what kind of world and society these people are advocating for when you really think about it. An infantalized world where all human interaction needs a bloody kindergarten teacher (read: government/corporate overlord) to watch their every move and ensure everyone gets their fair share and equal time, and no one outshines another, or makes anyone uncomfortable.

The joke of having to sign a consent form and have it notorized by a lawyer or judge was once a meme, and now rapidly becoming less of a parody by the day.

Where simple human social closeness and interaction is pathologized and scorned by those who play at building a more open society, every act viewed through a corrosive lens of oppression or bigotry or some such nonsense. And where at least for now, these standards are only applied in one direction, as can be illustrated with the example of the complete lack of comment about that serial rapist Taylor Swift and her kissing under age fans of the opposite sex on the cheek.
I often hear people pointing out how very Orwellian the future that a small, creepy sect of society is pushing for. And absolutely, you can see shades of Big Brother every time they open their mouths. But it also reminds me of a short story I had to read in middle school. Even then, we just had to read it, didn't even have do a little quiz on it- had to do one on Flowers for Algernon, but not this one- so I imagine that it's been wiped completely out of the curriculum by now. Which would make sense, since the very salient point has stuck with me ever since, and I could understand the point even as a sixth grader.

I'd highly recommend reading Harrison Bergeron by Kurt Vonnegut Jr.

To make everyone equal, the Gov't takes it into it's own hand to handicap the masses, putting weights on the strong and fast to drag them down, cover the faces of the beautiful, radios onto the intelligent to constantly interrupt their thoughts, even glasses on those who can see to practically blind them. A mother watches her son, on TV, take off his restraints and rise above, only to be shot and killed for stepping out of line. By the time the TV turns off, she's crying but can't remember what happened, because no one can hold a thought for longer than a goldfish keeps a memory.

It was in 2008

After that video of them dancing she claims some horror movie scenario where she was so scared of Vic coming in her room she locked herself in her bathroom. Right.

But I found a video of a Saturday panel of Kara and Vic in 2010 Shadocon. She seems fine sitting next to him even though in her affidavit this is the day after he supposedly did this:

Then after this panel, and TWO alleged creepy encounters, she invites Vic out to dinner because reasons:

Then after dinner he (creepily, of course) hits on her yet again, she turns him down, but then two years later she wants to be in his Star Trek show where she'd be working with him on a set.

Right.

In that second video at 13:45 Kara leans in, and buries her face in Vic's neck. I think she might be whispering sexual things into his ear. She didn't even ASK PERMISSION to do that and he certainly didn't initiate it. He looks pretty violated. Can't really see her one hand. It may be in the back of his hair pulling on it. She definitely looks very creeped out and in fear for her vagina in this video. It's all very rapey and I may have nightmares and have to seek counsel.

For anyone coming in fresh who wasn't here to see this, and just as a reminder because this story has brought me probably the most laughter out of this entire Weeb Wars, let us never forget The Piggyback Rape Story.

Please, always remember, as people were going out and accusing Vic of creeping on children and raping women and nonconsensually hugging fans, the story of him molesting Kaplan's neck was being held up in equal regards.

Oh fucking boy. "He mounted me! He didn't even know me and he mounted me!" Dude, first off, are you saying if he knew you he could mount you? Second, that's not "mounting", even though you look and probably smell equine-ish. Third, YOU then turn it into a sexual incident by asking him something about being "happy" at which point he gets the fuck away from you. You were the one that made it vile and rude. Look, I get that noone wants gay pants on their neck but stop being a snowflake. Damn, I miss when men weren't whiny bitches.

The part that fucking pisses me off the most is that this new wave bullshit of SJW'ism will loudly and proudly screech that they won't back down, won't take anyone violating them in any way, are strong, independent, will fight for their honor. Yet every time there's a story about them (not even just this one), they're actually all shrinking violets hiding in "fear for their life, literally shaking and crying. I couldn't say or do anything to save my virtue" Yeah....real brave and strong. 100 women all allowing rape/abuse/sexual misconduct supposedly in order to keep their job as a voice actress?? Like no dawg, just fucking no. How are you strong and brave for this? Sounds more like greedy and too lazy to have to find another job. Who allows themselves to be sexually disrespected in order to do cartoon voices. Who allows themselves to have that done to them that are VOLUNTEERING their time at a con? Noone.

Vic may even own a studio at the end of this. What's a better name than that autistic as shit Okratron 5000? Brolytron 9001?

Oh crap, I think I actually remember this one.

How oddly prophetic it became...

This only just adds to the list of Kara’s contradictions in her shit tier fanfic on Vic, she’s surpassed such poor writing more than the exceptional tweens who write yaoi on Fanfiction.net and Monica’s own fanfic where she contradicted herself over three different versions.

You got Harrison Bergeron in elementary school? I didn't get to read it until high school, and only then with the teacher having to slagg and shit on it and shepherd to the students a portrayal of the story as bigoted drivel and a reactionary strawman.

Edit; I had a fairly conservative English teacher, who was clearly unhappy with how he had to portray it. Knowing how off the deep end some of the other English teachers at my old high school were I can only imagine how it was presented to the rest of the students.
