It's a combination of things. Here's some examples:
-A worker at Funi by the name of Samantha Inoue-Hart tried to frame ISWV for swatting her when in actuality she just took old photos from an unrelated break-in that happened to her back in 2013 and reposted them, not realizing that she left the photos up on her facebook page and people found out about it real quick. When folks wondered why she was against Vic, a blog post or something was discovered in which she bitches about him regarding petty workplace grievances. She just didn't like the guy because she thought he was stuck up.
-ANN (Anime News Network) Posted an article and used photos out of context which they STOLE from people and LIED saying that Vic did things with them without their consent. The person they stole the photo from actually came out and said that she wasn't underage, that she ASKED Vic to kiss her on the cheek and hug her and that there were parents present at the event they were at, completely debunking and discrediting the article. Later, more people would come out and demand that their photos stop being stolen and used out of context to attack Vic with.
-The angry fag lover who made the first tweet that ArmzGurl would piggyback off of to start this whole shit show held a grudge against Vic because he didn't sign some idiot's gay fan art and immediately labeled him as being some homophobic pedophile when Vic has said multiple times that he doesn't sign gay shit not because it's super gay but because he only signs cannon work i.e. if Edward Elric and Mustang were canonically gay, he would've signed it. But they aren't so he didn't. Vic also has done a dramatic reading of this super gay book that you can easily find online and even VERY recently, a gay trans person came out and voiced their support for Vic with even videos of him hugging them and offering kind words of support to them, also debunking their claims that he's transphobic and homophobic.
-Some old VA who's also been accused of being inappropriate with his young handler just flat out says that he doesn't like Vic because Vic stole his spotlight one day and climbed onto his shoulders after showing up late to a panel one day and he's been asshurt about it ever since.
-Monica is still assmad at Vic because his name was featured on the cover of some anime no one barely remembers instead of her.
-Vic's ex fiancé is still assmad that Vic cheated on her and hasn't learned to get the fuck over it after a couple of years even though he constantly expresses remorse for what he'd done. Move the fuck on, cunt.
-Vic is a conservative, Christian man. His existence is already offensive to SJWs everywhere.
-He's a chad that gets pussy on the reg. A lot of women are assmad at him because they want to make him exclusive to them and he's like..."Nah."
- Marchi is assmad at Vic because he has the nerve to be interested in Monica but he has absolutely no sexual interest in her. She desperately wants him to notice her.
-Vic consistently gets longer lines at cons than any of the others at Funi because he actually likes and appreciate his fans and because of that, his fans want to support him and give him money. All the other VAs are jealous.
-Most of the ire he's facing are from a clique of friends attacking him because their own friends are attacking him. If you pay attention, literally everyone who has conspired against him have connections to each other or are featured in each other's social media. Friends of friends of friends, all working together to destroy someone because their friends don't like him so that means they shouldn't like him either. What a bunch of sheep.
There's probably more but I honestly don't have the time to sit here and list every single possible motivation these asshats have for attacking Vic. Make of it what you will.
