Fair enough, but please note that I dont't think a lot of Christians are going to be interested in receiving a lecture on good Christian behavior from Vic right now...

As seething as he may be at other Christians (and perhaps rightly so) for their actions, he has probably has as many seething at him for his actions.
I am all for forgiveness, but I am also for genuine repentance from the party asking for mercy. These people are evil, plain and simple and in my estimation will not stop, they will continue to hurt and destroy those they see as a foe, and with that in mind I would advise Scorched Earth

Not one stone upon another.

The real underlying tragedy behind this story is that after everything is said and done, Vic will be completely willing to forgive all of his so-called former friends. I truly believe he really would.

But none of them will ever ask him for it.
I believe he would as well. He clearly just wants this shit to stop, but it doesn't stop. So at least he isn't just lying down and taking it. I'm sure he understands how broken people can be and how that leads them to do terrible things. But he also understands the concepts of repentance and forgiveness. Law Twitter, Funi-Fucks, costhots, and fat rich pigs do not care about forgiveness or repentance - the moment they smell blood they want to suck the fucker dry. Because they are sad, sad individuals whose parents didn't instill compassion in them.

It must suck to try and destroy someone and see him standing up for himself and refusing to get into retarded social media spats or say anything negative about his accusers because he's busy meeting huge lines of loving fans. That must fucking burn as much as it hurts to find out your so-called friends want you penniless and dead.

At the end of the day this is all these people have. Projection and attacking others, pointing out their faults constantly. Ron Toye knows he's a sniveling, lying rat with a lying fiance who doesn't even fucking fill him in on her history of "abuse" by the guy she worked closely with for years after the "fact." He's trying to distract himself from this sad reality by focusing on fake sex crimes and pretending he's akin to a Marine sniper or whatever the fuck Chris Kyle was. I feel pity for him as much as I do ire. Fucking cuck!

Quick poll for yins: Can the term "badass" ever be used unironically to describe someone or something, or is the term forever ruined?

If voting yes, would you mind giving examples of whom or what may be referred to as "badass"? Also you're gay if you think it's okay to use. Just saying.

Yes, but I reserve it for that mule-brained, donkey-faced, idiot AOC. When she does something even more exceptional than her previous escapade, I like to chide her. "Bad, ass, BAD!"

More seriously though, I don't even know if it can even be used ironically. The only thing I can think that's worse is "epic fail" which I believe ought to at least get a brick lobbed at you regardless of how you attempt to use it.

What actions of his? Wearing pants that are way too tight and being too quick to hug people?

Vic comes off as very New Testament when a lot of those pushing against him seem to be akin to Old Testament nutjobs (though "false prophets" are more likely) He's not asking people forgive him for any wrongs he's committed, but seems to feel genuinely sorry for any legit harm he's caused people; especially fans. This is when so many of his detractors don't seem to give a shit about one-another and are out for their own asses.

I guess it comes down to what you take away as being a "good Christian".

He admitted to cheating on his girlfriend.

Anyone who wants to paint somebody else as "not a good Christian" had better be prepared to back it up with chapter and verse, with an option for rebuttal. The theme throughout both the Old and New Testaments is "to do (act) justly (righteously), and to love kindness and mercy, and to humble yourself and walk humbly with your God" (Micah 6:8, AMPC).

What surprised me was that a bunch of Americans were staging The Mousetrap in the first place. IIRC, The Mousetrap is famous for its twist ending--so famous, in fact, that there isn't allowed to be an American production while it's still running in Britain, because bloody yankee audiences will spoil the whole show. However, I'm not sure if that rule's still in effect, or if it applies to community/school theater.

What? How would this even work? What police force or military breaks into your theater to stop you from running a play? How would this even stop someone in Britain from spoiling it by knowing from previous runs or such? Why would you assume people on the other side of the world are more likely to spoil things than the guys in your country? That's weird.

Why would they be seething? Everything Vic has done he's repentant of. And really all he's done is sleep around a lot. Michelle and he were never married, so saying he was adulterous is a hard-sell for most modern Christians. And all of his partners have been consensual adults who were presumably women, not men. At worst, they probably won't want to hear a lecture on chastity from him (since there's no sure indication he'd gone chaste until now).

ETA: Cheating on your girlfriend or fiancee is NOT adultery. That's not something Christianity is particularly concerned with except for the whole 'why are you having sex with people outside of marriage' aspect.

Some of these accusers are doing it, undoubtedly, because they believe their friends who are also making accusations. When its over, if they explain that to Vic, and tell him they were fooled by people they trusted who levied disgusting crimes on him, he may actually forgive.

If it were me, I think I could respect them for that, simply because rape and child molestation is so heinous that I can see it negatively impacting their ability to be reasonable believing their friend did that. Id still be furious for a while, but I might be able to deal with them in time. And Vic seems more forgiving than I know I am so I believe its a plausible outcome if the original accusers recant and confess.

No police force enforces that. But you buy a license to perform a play from the owner. They may have had a license stipulation for that at one time. Though these days I would doubt that is in effect because teh internets ruin twist endings.

How much will the Anime Voice Acting scene change if Vic wins this case? Will we see Toei Animation pull support from funimation and move to another studio like VIZ media?
Not much I'm afraid. This type of shit has been going on in the entertainment sector for decades, before social media they just weren't stupid enough to do it publicly.

Most likely they'll all just go back to quietly squeezing out people they don't like like they did before social media.

At best Funimation will just blame and fire the Funicunts who started this. I doubt Vic will get Broly back, but he'll probably be free to work with Viz and Sentai or he could follow Laura Bailey into Western Animation/video games.

It's kind of a moot point, anyway. The Mousetrap has been published in the US, so it's easy for anyone to pick up a copy. They just can't PERFORM it.

There are no good Christians. Every single one falls short of the mark.

My point is that Vic was being praised for criticizing people who thought they were being good Christians and trying to 'save' people, but were actually hurting people and making Christians look bad.

Vic, while trying to be a good Christian and trying to save people, was acutally hurting at least his fiance, and made Christians look bad.

Vic and the people he criticized are exactly the same thing, imperfect people and imperfect Christians, and neither deserves special praise or criticism beyond the other.

And for all the talk about how contrite Vic is now, he himself stated that he had to have a change of heart after going through all this over the past few months.

That said, I think he has been treated unfairly, I am pulling for him, and I want him to win his lawsuit. I just disagree with lionizing him for criticizing less sympathetic targets without recognizing that he is not better or worse.

Probably not in anything a lawsuit can touch. High net worth individuals like Ren’s Daddy often establish trusts of wealth* in their children’s name that can effectively be used to draw an income from. Just looking at Ren’s living arrangement I would expect she has assets held in trust of anywhere between 8-12 million dollars unless she is regularly dipping into the principal. I wouldn’t be surprised if she is so let’s assume that maybe she has a before tax income of between ~$52,000 to ~$70,000 so about half that after the tax man gets his pound of flesh. Once again she may be dipping into the trust’s principal for stuff like that European vacation, but I don’t think she is doing that for basic living expenses.

Here’s the rub, even if daddy wants her to please stop, he can’t. That trust is hers and Daddy cant touch it. Neither can a lawsuit unfortunately, in almost all cases to my knowledge trusts can’t be targeted in lawsuits.

*wealth is assets which can generate income. Don’t confuse money for wealth. Having a lot of money is not the same as being wealthy, just ask lottery winners.

The fuck is your income math doing? Low end of reasonable yields on capital is 2%, low end of your wealth estimate is $8MM, 2% of 8MM = $160k.

Ty has an accent that tv and movies have decided "sounds stupid" ...

Ty's aristocratic Texas drawl is far more classy than the combination redneck twang/ghetto jive accent that Doucette has, so he has no room to talk (so to speak).

Infidelity is infidelity. The first issue was that he was sleeping around, and then after that, he was sleeping around while being engaged to someone-- engagement being the only pre-marital status officially religiously recognized. Saying "he wasn't adulterous" is missing the point of his error.

According the YF another ANN hit piece on Vic is coming down the pipeline
