She claims hEDS? (Yet another case of munchies claiming hEDS with absolutely 0 hypermobility. Sigh. Read the whole acronym, not just the EDS part please lmfao)

She does. Apparently it's hEDS but she's "very worried about vascular involvement". Basically the different types of EDS are named for their most prominent feature but can share some features of other types, so having hEDS and bruising easily/bursting minor blood vessels doesn't mean you have vEDS like she's desperately trying to hint at. She's in her 30s and hasn't ruptured any internal organs so I call bullshit.

Not much to talk about, but she had battery issues with her infusion pump, went on bike ride with friend and “popped” 3 joints, whatever the fuck that means. She wants that sweet EDS diagnosis so bad.

I said a few posts back that she posts videos of supposed subluxations. Even in her dance videos she never looks hyper extended ever & as @Ellesse_warrior said a few posts back she’s not very flexible.

Maybe someone more familiar with EDS could chime in and see if they see anything in these videos cause I may be missing something.

I suppose the only thing is that most of these girls are probably walking about as normal until they need to be on camera.

I can’t tell if it’s a good thing that for example chroniczebra/court/autie are shown excercising.
Whilst showing they are faking at least they might show other ‘zebras’ that excercising is a must. Autie especially takes it to just weird levels though lol.

A lot of them do seem to lay about doing nothing and wouldn’t be surprise if a lot of their ‘joint pain’ is from lack of movement.

Even in populations that literally CANNOT walk (paralysis, congenital deformity), adaptive exercise is critical for health.

God she is such a cow. None of these look like anything out of place except a minor possibly grade one AC (acromial clavicular) separation in the one which a lot of people have regardless of EdS and can be sustained in a fall.

Now, people with EDS can often have joints that only sublux and dislocate while sleeping or being manipulated by other people. But literally none of what she is doing screams EDS to me in any of her photos. She is just moving her joints in a weird way. It is bizarre. Perhaps she has conversion disorder and is actually convinced she has this.

Carmel claims she was born with blue sclera, a sign of EDS more commonly associated with the extremely rare Type VI/ Kyphoscoliosis form and she just found this out like way to go moooom why didn't you tell me this when I was munching my way to this diagnosis? While associated with a number of serious diseases, the root cause of blue sclera is thinness of the collagen fibers and in many cases it is a harmless defect which resolves on its own as the baby develops. So if she's telling the truth at all, she had a temporary eye defect that she no longer has. Cool. Some babies are born with severe jaundice but UV exposure fixes it and they have no complications as they develop. Do they get to claim liver failure now because it might be associated with that?


Carmel also broke her port and is getting a power chair. Gee whiz.


Dani is still buying tons of PICC covers and a TPN supply storage unit with her disability checks while coming up with all the PICC-related complaints she can think of to get a port. TPN stabilized her bloodwork because you can't starve or purge on it. Fancy that. Possiblities: 1) she becomes a complete fatass because she has no real willpower and never really did (she was binge-purge anorexic) so she's going to eat on top of the TPN. 2) the TPN is taken away from her and she just wasted a whole bunch of taxpayer money on junk and will haul herself back to the ER and Penn screeching that she's dying, wasting even more taxpayer money.

As this is a three hour drive from her home in Williamsburg I'm going to maintain cautious optimism that this crossover leads to a munchie dance battle to the death.

There is a much longer story but I'm working on a full timeline for her and want to finish it without giving away what i know and how. She's just my favorite since LCF days and I need to talk about her or I will explode. For now, enjoy this photo from one of our local newspapers.

Yeah, figure skating and gymnastics too. Anything that put a premium on looking fit/lean and required a high degree of flexibility. In addition to just maintaining the "I'm bendy therefore I'm special" there's also the "I'm not a failure, I just have EDS that ruined my career!" excuse and the "I'm not anorexic, I just have gastroparesis" excuse.

The other common trigger is a person they were close to getting sick or dying from an illness. One of the people I am profiling right now seems to have started her behavior right after an important figure in her life passed away from a protracted illness shortly after she suffered a number of other professional and personal setbacks.
