Infidelity is infidelity. The first issue was that he was sleeping around, and then after that, he was sleeping around while being engaged to someone-- engagement being the only pre-marital status officially religiously recognized. Saying "he wasn't adulterous" is missing the point of his error.
Gonna smash that 'x' button, because I've never known a Christian to care about infidelity pre-marriage. You're not married, it isn't adultery. End of story. Christians don't like the infidelity between fiancees or a girl/boyfriend because it necessarily indicates nonmarital sex. Whether you're single or not while you do it means nothing. There's no Christian I've ever met who would look at Vic and say 'well, sleeping around is one thing, but you slept around
while engaged!' They'd be more likely to say something like 'well if you were going to have sex why didn't you get married? Then you'd have avoided temptation'.
Though, as mentioned by others, it's irrelevant anyway because it's not something he's
actively doing, and it's something he's clearly apologetic and repentant for. He could even preach/teach on the subject using himself as an object lesson ('I did this, it was bad, I lost someone I loved because of this. Don't do it')
The infidelity, and the 8 year long engagement to his fiance, are what made me think Vic did do something inappropriate at some point. In fact, I still believe there's too much smoke so there has to be a small fire somewhere in his past.
I'm pretty sure you can throw out the garbage about pedophilia, rape, sexual assault, harassment, homophobia, and anti-Semitism. A fan being uncomfortable about a hug/kiss is just going to happen; meet 10,000 fans, have 1% of meetings go wrong, and you get your "100 women" just as a margin of error.
He's admitted to infidelity, propositioning the twins, and pulling Marchi's hair, none of which are illegal/immoral, but they suggest the kind of incautious attitude that gets you that one legitimate skeleton in your closet. Like propositioning a girl who you thought was legal but was actually underage, or misreading a signal and grabbing someone's ass. I don't think he's done anything remotely near as bad as what he's been accused of, but you could probably unearth something he's legitimately sorry for.
The problem is his accusers are such exceptional liars, backstabbers, and dumbasses that I can't tell which accusation might be legitimate. The outrage mob amplifies every minute accusation, making them all sound suspect simply by their inclusion. ProTip: this is why you don't lie about sexual abuse, you idiots. This is why you don't listen and believe. Because it fucks up the reception for legitimate victims and the people trying to help them.
(ManJaw, I'm looking at you. You had the most likely reported/traceable accusations of the group, then spent the last few months lying so hard and so frequently I had to stop mocking Brianna Wu just to have time to process all your insane shit. The fall in credibility is amazing to behold.)
I can affirm through my previous research there is
no fire for this. The cause of the rumors is literally
just angry fujos. Something you have to understand with these types is that if you don't fit into the shape they think you should have, they don't believe you belong
anywhere they are. Fujoshi have made anime all about their perverted gay fantasies, and when someone refuses to play along with them insistently enough, they determine that person has no business being in anime. This has been true since the 00s. I have personally witnessed this behavior, as while I've never been SJW myself, I spent a
lot of time in their 'natural spaces', before Tumblr became their dumping ground.
Take for instance Black Butler. There's a joke gay character in it who's crazy. It's a man. Because of the way Japan interprets gays, the general concept is that 'if you like men you must want to be a woman'. Thus, Grell wants to be a woman. If anyone
dared to call Grell a man while the manga was new and hot, angry fujo would descend and try to rip them to shreds. I set off a few myself just by being in proximity, and occasionally got a few cyberstalkers that tried to ruin my life spreading fake rumors and etc. They were irrelevant and nothing came of it, just a bunch of catty anonymous chatter, but the point still stands. Just being
a fan who didn't fall in line with their insanity was enough to get them to try to drive me out by any means necessary. Now
imagine what happens when
the voice actor for their favorite gay boys says "actually, they're honestly not gay, I won't sign your gay artwork, I don't like yaoi, and I'd rather not say gay things for you".
I say all this to establish that
yes, fujos are demonstrably
absolutely this petty and vile. And yes, just saying "Naruto and Sasuke aren't gay for each other and that was never the intention of the author", or saying "No, I am not into any yaoi at all, and I don't like it" is enough to put you in the same category they place people holding signs that say 'die fags'. So Vic saying "You are
absolutely allowed to love yaoi, and I'm allowed not to love it" is 100% enough to get them to want him to
literally die. And that's without him teasing them.
As for 'did it happen'? Yes. That's absolutely what happened. I did the research. The nexus for the rumors as they exist are mutliple very public comments Vic said at conventions in 2009 where he decided to 'set the record straight' about his views on yaoi. By the end of the year the 4chan rumors (that mean
absolutely nothing, because they were on 4chan) had moved to public consciousness, and by 2012, insane rumors of him having sex with 'underage fans' had started to pop up in dark corners.
There's no fire. Just fujoshi.
And get his channel nailed for using naughty words? The only way you're allowed to refer to pedos on leftist controlled platforms is to mention how they're stunning and brave.
Just use a codeword, then. Make something up, your viewers will understand what you mean and you won't sound as obnoxious as spelling it.
