Basically, in 1989 a Central Park jogger got beaten and raped to within an inch of her life. Five black and Latino boys were caught, and said a whole bunch of shit that indicated they knew details of the attack they shouldn't, and they were subsequently convicted and imprisoned. Trump took out a full-page ad saying he wanted them executed for the attack.

Years later, a sixth Latino inmate in prison claimed he was the sole attacker. His DNA matched what was found on the scene.

His DNA being the only one present in the evidence materials led people to claim all the confessions were coerced, never mind the Five knowing details the police themselves did not know and found out later. It was assumed that the 1989 NYPD used the same DNA gathering techniques they use today, ergo if the DNA wasn't in the evidence they must not have been there. De Blasio, NY mayor, gave them 40 million dollars in 2014. Trump refuses to retract his belief in their guilt.

Inch of her life means she was still alive. Couldn't she simply verify the suspects or confirm if there was more than one?

He likely thinks so because they all (despite mitigating circumstances) pleaded guilty and were at the scene of the crime(s). They talked to lawyers and reversed their pleas likely as it was clear there wasn't much evidence and the focus of the trail was the rape (and not the other seven robberies and assaults committed by people matching their description in the area during the span of one hour).

The "exoneration" of the rape comes from the admission of the rapist who left DNA evidence at the scene, years later, saying he was the only one there. This is the foundation of the claim, despite testimony from people that were close to the boys that had testified that the boys had admitted to having been there and "restrained and fondled the jogger".

I don't think that really suggest that they actually didn't do anything, but they realized they could try and mount a legal defense based on the media focus and lack of evidence.

Personally, we should have never gotten rid of the death penalty. While States like Texas still practice the death penalty, most states don't. Which is why there's overcrowding of prisons and why thousands of violent criminals were released, (even though it was under false pretenses.)

A lot of these thoughts predate Trump, hell they predate Obama's second term. I remember the Dems having a super majority and the Republicans badly hobbled. There was a lot of momentum at the time towards progressives and it's why things got soo stupid in the early 2010s soo quickly. Oh well.

Now that is interesting. Cummings' district, MD-7, all by itself was given nearly 16 billion dollars in Federal grants in 2018 alone. That''s not even all of Baltimore, that's just a wedge of Baltimore and then some bullshit outside of it. What the Hell was that money used for? It sure as shit didn't go into any of the schools or infrastructure or clean-up efforts in his district.

Now do you see why black people have little faith if any in the government? It's the people that were given that money that has apparently done little with that to their citizens which they elected. It's fucking disgusting to see this, if it is true. Somebody NEEDS to declare a federal, civil rights investigation in the state of Maryland. Fuck being called racist, it'd be racist NOT to do anything and let this stuff continue to happen in the limelight.

Now I don't know how many of you nerds have had interactions with people at all, but both of you that have know that people are weird as all hell. Another thing about "Demographics as Destiny": people are xenophobic. The first word for people in almost any linguistic system is "The People" which refers to the originating group. The second word is "The Others" which then refers to every other group of people that group meets. There is a reason that "The foreigners are taking our jobs" has been a political rallying cry since at least the 1700s and probably farther back then that as well. The Democrats are attempting to weave together several widely varying strands of ethnicities into their tapestry of diversity, ignoring that most of these strands at best grudgingly tolerate the others and at worst actively dislike them.

It will not be possible to maintain a coalition of Asians, Africans, African-Americans, Hispanics, Jews, LGBTQIAA+, and Muslims for long. There exist powerful forces working within that coalition to tear it apart, and once it is rent asunder, the demographics collapse into a thousand warring tribes, and your destiny has vanished into the aether.

The coalition can fall apart when it's no longer needed (i.e. the Enemy is subdued) . After that you can handle the shattering by switching to proportional representation and have a shitload of parties like in Europe, except the parties are drawn along ethnic lines. Given that idpol is ostensibly about ensuring that every demographic group is represented proportionally in all walks of life any true believer would see this as the ideal outcome.

It's truly a testament to the power of the cultural marxist psychological warfare that is driving them, that has brainwashed them, that has shaped them over these last 70 years, that they cannot see what havoc the foolish policies they advocate for have done to large metropolitan areas. How could anyone look at Seattle or San Francisco or Chicago and think, "Hmm, I needs me more of that!" How can their true believers reconcile their push for 'progress' in that direction when confronted with the reality of the consequences it creates? It is terrifying to see how much power such literally insane people have.
