As I explained, marriage in its current exclusive state contributes to the alienation and othering of homosexuals, who as a result of this alienation may become depressed. Many homosexuals have committed suicide over this very same alienation that the illegalization of gay marriage contributes towards. So what would the reason for leaving it in its current state be? Who would be hurt by the change and in what way? Because I don't think anybody would be genuinely harmed by changing it.
