Perhaps worth mentioning that I’ve seen the “actual” bodyguard idea from fans of yandere simulator a number of times, for the last rival. Because her dad is canonically paranoid and also rich.

Also new blog post:
I read the short manga. It's an inretesting story honestly, and I think the art is pretty good. But the issue I have is... why did he have to make this now? It's a cool thing to do once the game is out.
I can get getting excited about an idea...but he seems to have hardly any impulse control. And that's if he really isn't just drawing things out to milk money for as long as possible.

At the end of the video, he seems to imply that Fortnite copied Yandere-chan's character design. Didn't he just buy that model anyway?
Besides, all generic stereotypical Japanese schoolgirls look the same, of which Yandere-chan is one.

Yeah, that was a pretty pathetic thing to do considering he didn't make the model to begin with. Besides even if he made the model it still is just a generic school girl with a ponytail. I don't know why he even brought it up unless it's going to become a "hilarious" new gag secret.

Also what's the point of adding a money system if there's nothing to buy if only to make the game more complicated? There's already a bartering system with info-chan so is this meant to give you things that info-chan can't supply? I.. don't get it. It doesn't add much to the gameplay either other than just giving you more steps to do and more boxes to tick to get your plan going. Just adding more stuff isn't going to fix the major problems and making things more complicated isn't going to make the game any more fun. Sure, the mini-game is cute and all but it's not necessarily about this particular mini-game but rather his obsession with just piling on more and more crap to cover up flaws in the basic design.

Also Raibaru's weaknesses? Oh, do tell. Alex went to so much effort to point out what a perfect master she is who is constantly with her bestie so what could take her down?

AND why bother doing a retrospective video when you're not even done yet!? Wait until the game is finished before taking a look back at your humble beginnings.

not even a kf reference.png
He didn't even make a KF reference with the stalker website. What does he take us for?

Also with the maid game and cash added in he has no reason to keep in the weird panty shot mechanic, and that can be removed now... right?

Of course he didn't credit the programmer who created a mini game :story:
EDIT: I'm wrong, he credited him in blogpost, it is fedora dev
Are the credits in the game?

Are you retard?! Taking phones of underage women's underwear is clearly a part of Japanese school life. Alex knows this because he watches a lot of Japanese anime. Baka!

The...setting is in Japan right? Why's the money in dollars and not yen? I wonder if he will ever fix this.

Also the fortnight thing in the end was dumb. His character is generic. Even if they did see Yandere Chan and the skin was inspired off of her I don't think it would have mattered in this case. School girl with a black ponytail...if they literally did any other haircut I bet you this wouldn't have popped up.

We can only dream. But no. I doubt it. Maybe it'll be yet another alternative to get something you need, but as of now no. I bet you the panty shot mechanic is here to stay

Aside from the cafe minigame, one of the other things that bothered me about the video is the no respawn thing on weapons. Like, a katana? Okay that makes sense, most people don't just have a katana lying around. But you're seriously gonna tell me the science club only has one screwdriver?

If I had to guess, in the “final” game, he’ll probably have multiple weapons lying around for you to use (A.E. Multiple screwdrivers) and by the end of the week, the school will probably restock on what the main character stole.

Again, just guessing. He’s probably not going to do this.

Lmao @GlitchCloud looks like he dropped you from the credits

Osana is definitely not being finished this year either lol. Remember how it took Alex almost an entire year to just do the Sabotage elimination because it required a lot of animations and assets? Yea, imagine that for the suitor, the befriend/betray quest, and any other poorly made cutscenes in the future.

1. That pixel-art minigame looks so jarringly off-place. The game was already a disjointed mess of assets and ideas hastily cobbled together, now it's even worse.
2. Isn't this game supposed to be set if Japan? If so, why is Ayano being paid in dollars?
I’m thinking he wanted pixel art to emulate the mini game from danganronpa. I think it could work, as it does in danganronpa, but would probably require every other mini game (like the music minigame) to be pixel art as well.

... and probably a lot of other changes. Danganronpa has a very distinct visual style. But one jarring minigame made by a different coder isn’t the end of the world. I’d hope it didn’t distract him too much from Osana, at least.
