Nick Rekieta's Weeb Wars videos & livestreams - MULTIPLE SLURS

To be completely honest, at one point I was on the "what's more likely, that there's a massive conspiracy out to damage Vic or that Vic is a monster?" with my conclusion being it was unlikely that hundreds of completely unrelated women would be conspiring to defame Vic.

Then I started watching Rekieta, then I started browsing the Farms (and I actually made an account when @Captain Manning posted Ty's Five Words). And suddenly, the seemingly far fetched conspiracy angle didn't seem so far fetched.

"Dammit, Nick, We Lost The Case Again."

Nice T-shirt.

An absolute understatement.

The problem is that there just aren't "hundreds" of completely unrelated women, and all the people accusing Vic either

1) aren't accusing him of sexual assault or even harassment,

2) know other accusers,

3) have stories that don't pass basic scrutiny, or

4) are

Plenty of people here had that mindset too. It is logical to come to that conclusion first, but yeah once you see how all the defendants are connected, it does paint a different picture. Not to mention the contradictions and everything else.

The problem is that it's a false equivalency - it's not "one person lying" vs. "dozens/hundreds of people lying to ruin the one person", it's "one person lying and being covered by all the companies and conventions he's ever worked with for over 20 years" vs. "dozens/hundreds of people lying to ruin the one person"

It's suddenly a lot closer, because honestly both realities are fucking insane

Also, there's the fact that the "reality" that they present would require dub companies and all cons Vic has attended to cover up Vic fucking raping people, minors! For decades! All just for some VA. It wasn't exactly the best argument to begin with.

It's official, guys. Ty Beard is a Crouching Boomer Hidden Millennial Zoomer.

Update: Kudos to Zero Day Defense for correcting me.

I like that Ty and Vic text each other about geeky things completely unrelated to the case.

I bet that if Lemoine ever texts Ron and Monica it's only to tell them they still haven't paid him yet.
And that he's going to be late because he can't get up from his chair.

And it implies that they allowed his fiancée, someone they called a "friend", to be exposed to this supposed danger for the entirety of their relationship, acting like absolutely nothing was wrong, associating with the both of them with nobody the wiser about his alleged misdeeds.

Also, it implies that Vic had the strength to yeet Monica onto a bed, and that bed was able to support her being yote onto it such that she didn't suffer injury from that feat alone.

Either way, the American anime community ought to have been razed.

Doesn't have the pulmonary capacity for that.

Crouching Boomer, Hidden Zoomer

Preaching to the choir. The thing is, until I accidentally stumbled on Rekieta and started lurking the Farms, I had no idea that 1, 2, 3 or 4 existed.

I missed that. What'd Vic and Ty say?
