Weeb Wars / AnimeGate / #KickVic / #IStandWithVic / #vickicksback - General Discussion Thread

I think Rooster Teeth proper have been quiet. Independent contractors have commented a few times.

Of course I don't check Twitter so take that with caution.

Not Miles Luna (who is a proper Rooster Teeth employee), at least early on.

Here are some tweets straight from Miles' dox here on The Farms:

KickVic:

Retweet of Michele Feghali Sontag (former Funimation employee now working with Rooster Teeth. Might want to look into her):

Retweet of Shannon McCormick:

"Not Staying Silent":

"Well said"

"Knowing Vic Better":

Cheerleading Shannon McCormick:

Considering the flak Rooster Teeth received about their animation studios' working conditions, this tweet is ironic:

Some tabloid has picked up the the Story. Nick's been mentioned...

They can't even misrepresent Nick right-- of course Nick wouldn't like people he regards as liars.

And... those are some unflattering pictures.

Is Dunford seriously greeting the Threadnaught? What is with these people? Nearly all of them are married and yet they embarrass themselves with such displays as if they don't have any real life connections.

Gee, I wonder who contacted the Dallas News about the story.

Marchi seems impulsive enough to actually try it compared to the more subdued Rial, but Ron was the one actually getting stuff done with his TI-- then again, Ron probably wouldn't graduate beyond protecting women with his tweets.

Anyway, here is the article:

Here is the author:

(could not archive it)

A lifelong Texan, Sharon was a Pulitzer finalist in editorial writing in 2018 for her work related to Baylor University's sexual assault scandal.

Hmm..... I wonder why she was the one to write this story.

Has anyone seen those headshots before? If not, wouldn't it mean they either submitted them or posed for them? It's noteworthy that they chose the two women to use as a banner, and made them look as sympathetic and 'victimized but dignified' as they could. I'd reckon the defense did this to try to sway public opinion and hopefully get the potential jury on their side.

I really don't think publicizing the case is going to go the way they want, though.

Has the door been thrown open for this to go mainstream or for fucking exceptionalism to explode even more?

How much do you want to bet Lemon Party set this up as an attempted to gain these cunts general public sympathy since they've pretty much ran the well dry on social media by being massive thunder cunts?
I only consider it an option BECAUSE Nick was mentioned. Jokes aside, hes only tangentially related to the case and only because he created the gofundme.

The defendants have been desperately trying to drag Nick into this lawsuit. They probably consider him a greater threat then they do Ty. Which would make sense. Ty is the opposing counsel in the court of law, but Nick is the opposing counsel in the court of opinions. And these people care far more about the latter.

It says in the captions they posed for these pictures for the rag at their studio. This was a coordinated hit piece by the defense.

Compare the haggard headshot they used for notoriously fabulous prancing lala man Vic. It's a standard practice by garbage journalists to use unflattering pictures for the people you want to demonize.

Yeah, they picked a terrible low-rez photo for Vic on purpose. And the article doesn't even attempt to be a little unbiased. Japan Times was less biased, and they were just another part of the ANN hit trying to legitimize it. I hope they get spanked by the public for this.

"i've sacrificed personal life for a career for much of the past decade"
what career?
Allow me to translate...

"Since I don't need no man, I intentionally put my work ahead of family and a normal life. But now the life I chose has left me bitter, unfulfilled and alone, so I have to lash out and blame something on someone else because I'm into avoiding the real issue, not into taking responsibility for my actions."

TLDR (Insert Sam Kinneson's "She was a VICTIMMMMMM!!!" here.

A rather unflattering picture of the Lemon Fuhrer in that article:

No, you don't understand, that IS a flattering picture. He is just so unpleasant that's the best they could do. They brought out high school senior picture grade photoshop for this disease ridden potarded motherfuck, and this is still the best they could do.

Either way, who cares about their pictures, is their anything actually new in this yellow hitpiece, or is just reconstructing the defenses typical house of lies in a new lot?

He looks like a 55 year old who was divorced without children and is now the comedy character in a sitcom who can't get any women.

He probably thinks he looks cool.

That liver spot on his head makes him look like some evil buddhist villain in a C-tier shonen from the 90s

That's not a liver spot, that's a mosquito bite.
