Weeb Wars / AnimeGate / #KickVic / #IStandWithVic / #vickicksback - General Discussion Thread

I have a feeling that Lemoine has done this not only because they got shown up recently with that phone call but also because he's not getting paid, if you can't get money from your clients you might as well start doing press to get some exposure as the good guy fighting for da wahmens.

Expect more press and gay ops, funny thing is FUNimation must be tearing their fucking hair out at this becoming a less niche thing, I'm sure they wont take that out on Monica or Marchi going forward.

It keeps happening. Get a nice ruling saying: "hey, calm down a bit, have some more time, no reason to hurry" and then the whole situation SHIFTS HARD again with the Dallas News coverage.

The ride never ends.
Was this supposed one of those times where "The case slows down until the next legal date, and Nick can talk about other stuff"?

If you ever needed proof that the defendants are now truly afraid of how this is turning out, this is it. This article is going to be much worse for the defendants than anything else they have done up to this point. How do they plan to argue Vic was libel-proof and the defendant's accounts weren't causing him damage when the accusations are front and center in a news article? How do they plan to claim they never intended to damage his career when they are willing participants in a fairly obvious hit piece? How in the world did they think this was a good idea?

I can't believe anyone is actually this stupid.

I can save everyone a lot of time if they want to know whats coming next.

1: Understand that these are people that were raised without ever hearing the word 'no,' thinking for themselves and having any action result in consequence. With that in mind...

2: Look to the past to see what the radical left/intersectionalists/wannabe revolutionaries have done in similar situations.

3: Read 1984 and accept that they view it as a how to manual. And thats not remotely a joke.

4: Understand that the people in the media ARE the same people you see posting on twitter/Tumblr etc. Thats why lockstep is a thing.

5: Expect the stupid to be the standard.

That really is all you need to understand to be Nostradamus in this fiasco.

At least it's flushing out all the Pro-KillVic VAs.

They just flushed out Brina Palencia...

The continuous happenings are kind of spooky. #GamerGate seemed to move slower. This coming week, I'm going to consciously try to decrease the time I spend on this topic, because it's for sure not going to slow down now that it's hitting minor newsstands again. I keep praying for an outbreak of sanity but these devils have other ideas.

So, it turns out that Lemoine was the one that reached out to Dallas News to have the story covered. In the article it shows that they had interviews with Marchi's lawyer and took a glamor shot of Lemoine at their office.

The article uses his verbiage, and even tries to paint Nick as saying the lawsuit is for "grinding these women into dust".

WHEW LAD.

I can't wait til Judge Chupp sees that Lemoine ran to the media to poison the jury well :story:

I questioned the possibility of sanction, because I presumed it was the defendants (and not their lawyers) as well as potentially Doucette who brought this to attention of the media.

The fact that Lemonade was behind this makes the possibility of sanction far greater, I think. That said, since it's a district court proceeding, and IIRC this is occurring in Tarrant County, it might not matter since the newspaper in question circulates in counties that aren't Tarrant County.

In which case, the move was perhaps meant to give credence to the allegations by virtue of putting them in a newspaper.

The question is only how far up the foodchain this bullshit is going. Will it stay with Dallas News or will it start to go freaking national with Time, CNN and more?

How will that affect the case? Previous discussions on this said that the media doesn't have as much spin power left but this would still be detrimental to Vic because they can still spin a shit ton to their audience.

It almost feels like they're trying to Michael Jackson Vic.

Look at the follower list, Twitter shows your Followers in the order from last to first.
That means that Funimation has followed them only recently, probably today or yesterday.

It's August 3rd, and the monsters have overtaken the city...

Somehow...

I'm still alive.

They’ve been trying to get this in the mainstream forever and they can’t. No one reads this online rag. They have over 600k twitter followers and get zero engagement on their tweets. Anyone who thinks this is going to poison a jury pool is crazy.

Oh they will. Mark my word on that. BUT it won't end up playing out well for them when they do.

It's the fact that the defense is trying to.

I think it was established that this cretin had been paying attention to Douchette's threadnaught for a little while, wouldn't be all that shocked if it's all one big incestous clusterfuck. Needless to say once this is past TCPA it will be interesting to see what BHBH can dig up.
