Weeb Wars / AnimeGate / #KickVic / #IStandWithVic / #vickicksback - General Discussion Thread

It'll be funny as shit if it turns out that Ron is a beard (not of the Ty variety) and Monica and Jamie are an item that got threatened or actually caught and concocted this whole fiasco to scapegoat Vic and thus take attention of their 'business'.
The very idea of Monica and Jamie marrying each other sounds legit based on their pet cucks (that said Jamie's pet soy still has testosterone).

I do live in DFW, and this is NOT my got to paper. Hell I'm 4 mins from the man himself.
What is your go to paper then?

Not that it even matters what your personal preference is, as the circulation numbers are pretty clear, but there's only one other locally published paper that gets distributed on a similar scale, and is often sold in conjunction with the Dallas Morning News.

Thank you for the correction. I thought NIck said it wasn't an option in Texas unless the termination involved violating the Equal Opportunity Employment Act. I must have misunderstood what he said.

Generally, that's the case. There are a few exceptions, and one of the biggest is having a contract that explicitly states what you can and cannot be fired for.

Texas is an at will State. They can terminate for no reason at all and you have no recourse.
At-Will means they can fire you for no reason. But not any reason.
If Funimation was smart, and just fired him, Vic would have no recourse. Attaching a reason, and not going through the clauses of the contract they signed with Vic does potentially leave them vulnerable.

Ah, but they had to attach a reason. They just had to score woke points.

So did y'all see Nick's post for his stream tonight? Seems like Ty may have something to drop. inconclusive right now though. (Edit:sp)

Think Akiva was dumb enough to report Nick?

EDIT: Just saw the new thread. It's so much worse and dumber. :story:

This was timed to poison the jury. They only need to convince 3 jurors. You want to get in there close their minds and make them believe they would be doing the right thing to lie about their bias so they can get on the jury. Hence the massive personal victim narrative over a just an evildoer narrative.

Waste of time. The number of people reading this story on a day with two mass shootings is going to be minimal and all of them will be stricken for cause during voir dire.

i don't think attorneys can just drop clients in the middle of a case without good reason, and im not sure if "they're not paying me on time" is considered a good enough reason by judges

It's the #1 top good cause reason. Unless there's some special reason you led your client to expect free service from the beginning to the end of the case, if they don't pay you, they can go fuck themselves. It generally requires a motion and you might not be able to dump them immediately, but you can generally extricate yourself.

Note: a court can overrule this though and deny leave to withdraw even with good cause such as nonpayment. It's very fact-dependent.

But you can't exactly force Legal Counsel to continue working for clients that have REFUSED to pay-

on a related note, what happened to DoucheBoy's GoFundMe to become a Texas Litigator? It raised 1,260$ and was closed unlike his 'death abatement'. So did he just run off with that money like Sara Wiedenheft did with the #FreeAnInnocentMan money for her Pedophile brother's "legal defense"?
