Weeb Wars / AnimeGate / #KickVic / #IStandWithVic / #vickicksback - General Discussion Thread

I got a thought, probably was brought up but eh. So Nick's pretty much heavily implied that Sabat blacklists female voice actors who won't suck his dick. Now how long has this been going on, do you think? Did he go after every female voice actor, or did he start doing it to the newcomers--and when? Does this potentially mean Monica and Jamie are hypocritically totally okay with sucking (married) Sabat's cock, but couldn't handle being rejected by Vic?

What I'm curious about is, if Sabat really does that... why didn't they #metoo him? He has multiple good roles they could distribute to the rest of their pack, someone partial to him could take his spot, and he would have enough credible claims against him so they wouldn't even have to go through with a lawsuit or-- if they still had to-- abuse discovery in repeated efforts to libel the man.

I mean, if they were going to stab someone in the back, why backstab someone whose worst crime was cheating on his fiancée?

Because, while Sabat has many meaty roles, he's not as popular. Vic could, if he so desired, literally stand on stage and ask "Anybody wanna fuck?" and people would be lining up for various reasons. If Sabat tried that people would also line up. To spit in his face and laugh.

It's really hard to know why total pieces of human trash do what they do. I don't think it was totally and entirely about the money. I think it was more holistic. They couldn't stand the thought of a well-liked Christian conservative man in their field gaining so much traction. They also fail to understand, as Nick has repeated time and time again, that Vic's interactions with fans are genuine, and they end up perceiving the things he does as creepy, weird, and dangerous to their personal business as a result.

I wish we could know why, but they'll never admit it, and they may not even be able to deduce on their own exactly why they did it.

I'm of the understanding that Vic and Sabat have competing levels of notoriety. But, that's irrelevant to the logistics of this. Vic's just a voice actor that hardly fits in the Texas VA scene, as popular as he may be. He hardly has any administrative power unlike Sabat, who can very well leverage the recording studio that Funimation often uses, and who supposedly can meaningfully blackball ladies that don't prostitute themselves to him for a job Weinstein-style. Sabat doesn't have the cloud of rumors that Vic has had following him, but should he be guilty as charged, then just telling the truth about Sabat would

  1. be less involving compared to lying about Vic and then being exposed to heavy scrutiny when their well documented past with him turns out to be totally incongruous with their claims, and
  2. be more rewarding when his roles and formal/informal position are vacated, compared to Vic, whose only clout is derived from his good networking.
They would still have to deal with the "what the hell is wrong with you that you allowed several women up to this point be victimized because of this man", but it would have-- from start to finish-- resembled Weinstein all over again, so it'd probably be brushed off in time. And if Sabat was less popular than Vic, then that would have made things easier-- part of the reason that Vic had a fighting chance from the start was because he was endearing enough to a large enough fanbase that vouched for him from the beginning. The continuation of his career, even if he turns these women into salt pillars, still largely depends on his reputation and the demonstration of willingness in the anime community to support his work. If Sabat's less popular, they get to bury him more easily.

So why go for the harder target?

...how many licks does it take to get to the Tootsie Roll center of a Tootsie Pop?

Which means that's what I am gonna do.

Today's thing is: Hugs?! Per the logic of KickVic.

Sean Schemmel : Not rapeChris Sabat: Not rape Vic Lasagna: Totally rape!

Also note how they are touching this woman's hair! How dare they! Wonder if they got consent to do that?

It is only bad if you're not them ;D remember that KickVic-people. Remember that.
They will turn on you. It is just a question of when. of course when they do, it will be for something seemingly innocent and benign, like hugs and pulling hair.

Yeah I was thinking that too. This affidavit would potentially be more damning for funimation than helpful, but then again Ty probably has a strategy set out for the current situation and does not wish to deviate from it unless absolutely necessary.
How long before he goes Full Light Yagami? Or Full L?

you think the guys would line up also? Is he that much of an alpha charmer? Everyone has a price, you know.

Again, you have a bunch of people educated from birth, quite literally their whole lives in the hard left propaganda of feminism, politics and the 'tear down western civ/the patriarchy' exceptionalism by their teachers, the news and entertainment media and the peer pressure of their fellow travelers. They are playing out the part they were indoctrinated for, just as many 'useful idiots' before them.

As much as some denial junkies want to discount all that, their actions are 100% in line with it. The fact that he's Christian, not a rabid leftist, somewhat wealthy, wildly successful as both a capitalist and an 'influencer'... and not willing to simply parrot their worldview, makes him an 'enemy of the people' who must be removed from the picture.

The latest fad this month is a full frontal media attack on all normal persons, personalities and outlets that are opposed to the politics of the most extreme left wingers in politics and media. The charges of racism, bigotripy and superhomosogynistictransislamophobia are in every media outlet with top billing. The KickVic crowd simply got a head start, picked their target, defined it, isolated it et all, like the good little communists they are.

Not sure if this has been posted before, but here's one of Travis Willingham at Supanova 2010. He participated in a charity auction and one of the things being auctioned was a kiss.

Be careful posting that, KV speds might try to use it to extend their shoah to yet another genuinely nice VA.

ANN wouldn't be so dense as to edit the wiki page first and then use their edit as evidence for their article which would then become a citation for the edit...no never mind, of course they would.

"I just read a pop-science book by a respected author. One chapter, and much of the thesis, was based around wildly inaccurate data which traced back to ... Wikipedia. To encourage people to be on their toes, I'm not going to say what book or author."
This thread's going too fast for me to be bothered to check if this has already been posted, but I thought it was relevant.
I'll accept my Late votes.

Decided to continue my photo sperging, I apologize.
The one who will be victimized by this today is: Sean Schemmel.
I have a very important question, that seems to be important to the KV side, with or without context.

WeR3 ThEI 0f AgE?!

Friendly fan interactions or inappriopriate contact with possible minors?!
You decide.

However, I was being a dweeb and found a tumblr blog called:

Ain't much there, two posts....
But Sean Schemmel, BRO WTF, the first post.....please don't click the spoiler unless you're prepared for some nsfw weird

I need a knowledgable adult to splain' this. (or not tbh, preferably not. they are all fkn degenrates, the lot of them)

There are so many questions and I want none of them answered right now....

I'm going to take a guess and say that Sabat has a narrative that falls more in line with theirs and while he's a piece of shit for blacklisting female VAs for not sucking him off (if it's true), Sabat isn't as handsy as Vic is and it'll be harder to pin the "he touched me and a few years later I decided I didn't like it" on him. Sabat has less fans, so he gets less exposure to them as opposed to Vic who has a football field's length coming to see him. Lastly, Sabat has way more power and pull than Vic does. It could be that no one has come out against him because unlike Vic, he can actually legitimately ruin careers, and being surrounded by his cabal of friends and supporters gives him more shielding against any potential threat of a lawsuit. If anyone came out against him now, they'd be quickly snuffed out by the likes of KV and the rest of their ilk.
Do you see why this poses an actual honest to goodness problem for actual victims? They are putting so much attention on Vic that they are turning the other cheek to women who have been victimized by this kind of behavior. The same type of shit you saw that Weinstein guy pull with the actresses. It took a long time for him to face justice because they were all so scared that he would destroy them and he was protected and shielded by people who enabled and supported his behavior either because they didn't want to lose their own jobs or because they wanted a slice of the elite pie.

Sorry I went off on a bit of a sperg but you see my ultimate point I hope.

Ty is right we need another world war

He's been on that route for a LONG while now- I think the thing that finally broke him were his Lines compared to Vic's, just look and compare.
Sabat's:

Should be interesting to note that, according to Ty, one of the volunteers at Sabat's line at Kamehacon snuck away to take a short break on the floor Vic was on. There's probably other factors in play (for example, Vic had an entire floor to himself while Sabat was crammed in a corner somewhere), but it kinda makes you think.

That's interesting. While doing research on Kara Edwards I came across something similar, but didn't bother to look into it beyond that.

Not sure where this previous auction would have taken place because 2012 was the first time Kara went to Oni-con. She wasn't at Supanova in 2010. There aren't a lot of other conventions it could be, based on what's reported here: https://fancons.com/guests/bio/2021/kara-edwards

Saw it above and I hate to admit that while Vic has a strong backing and I mean it's really strong, it is not quite enough for these companies to fold over and hire Vic back immediately. Though RT is on their own as Vic isn't going to save them regardless of any decision. Funi is really dancing on the line by not settling and it really is advised just to settle on this matter before the clowns make them pay a lot more money. That money is coming but from whose pocket is the question.

Corporations need a legal go ahead to cover their asses. Right now Funimations investigation is still "valid." As are Monica's statements. So Vic is still a sexual predator right now.

After the TCPA motions are done, Funimations lawyer will probably throat punch Lemoine in a desperate dash to settle with Vic.

Settlement will most likely require a recantation. Then Vic would be "clean" while I'm guessing Funimations and Rial would be radioactive.

Simplest answer: he is controllable.

Vic turned out to not be under their control, they can't manipulate him so he had to go first.

That way, they exercise power over Sabat and others, because they have skeletons and Sabat has power over Funimation with his recording studio.

If they burn Sabat down, they are all out of easy work. Best to keep their cash cow on a steady diet of blackmail and slaughter the favorite workhorse.

What is really pathetic about this "Sabat has a studio = power over an industry" thing is that it's not 1989 anymore. There are literally thousands of sound engineers out there available to do recording sessions and voice acting does not require an SSL desk, a rack of Neve preamps, a Fairchild and a 16 track tape deck. It actually costs well under $5,000 to have a very good 'studio. thanks to cheap but good mics and VST plugins for audio manipulation, You can have a top shelf voice studio built in sum for $20K that would take truly golden ears to differentiate from "professional" studios.

So what does it REALLY take to record a VA? Not much really. Just a talented VA on one side of the mic, a talented engineer on the other and a room not much bigger than a closet. The rest is done on a laptop.

In the context of their conversation, they would be referring to Oni-Con in 2011. The convention has an annual charity auction.
