Despite what the right-wing media will tell you, most American Muslims (at least here in the East Coast, where they're mostly Pakis and Africans) are more secular and liberal than their European counterparts. Most of the ones I know huff the rainbow paint with more fervor than they pray with.

A few years ago I was volunteering at a high school where they were holding an Islamic study group at night (we'd run out of things to do so we were just pissing about), and on a desk outside the room they were holding the class in was a pile of the textbooks they used. I picked one up and leafed through it and found a chapter about the story of Lot, with a... pretty blunt message. I asked their teacher about that chapter, and she said they were skipping it and that it would be omitted from future editions.

My eyes are pretty tired, but I remember when this "fan art" of Desmond was shared by his mother on his account, I couldn't find it on his insta, so maybe she had a moment of clarity and deleted it after realizing a portrait of her son was sandwiched in between drawings of giant bear cock, and the "tears" his crying is symbolism for semen being sprayed across his face which is much more evident in the artists other portraits. Though, she didn't write a humble brag post when she took it down like she did when the pedo article when viral.

Both families are a complete mess, but there is more they have in common and it's both media exploiting them for views and good intended morons who believe they're helping them by pandering to them. I remember that HBB (and her people) used to say she had the right to compete because queens come in every size and that could have been an argument if the poor kid wasn't so untalented.
