Well, what about this for a theory: The guards were bribed to look the other way, but Epstein himself actually did commit suicide. He wasn't going to stay in solitary forever; eventually he was going to wind up in GenPop and he knew that there was absolutely no way out of it with the sort of evidence that they'd racked up against him. People who go to prison for the sorts of crimes he's committed don't do very well in GenPop, and with how famous he is and how distinct his face is, there's no way that other prisoners wouldn't know who he was.
He went from a pampered life spent doing everything he ever wanted to do to suddenly sitting in a cement cube, eating shitty food, watching a shitty TV, with nothing to look forward to but beatings and shankings and prison rape for the next however many years he had left. All he'd need to do is find a guard or two willing to take a payment to look the other way and set the payment up with someone else he knows outside of prison. He takes off his belt/pants, he loops them through the bars*, around his neck, and "sits" down.
Granted that this would only apply if he was actually out of suicide watch, which is by itself a gigantic, "Why the fuck was he outside of suicide watch", and someone would had to have taken a payment for it to work, so I still want to have their ass in crutches if the investigation turns that name up, but that doesn't sound implausible to me.
*We already know what the special containment cells in the MCC look like, per the story about Abu Hamza from 2013.
This entire thing just pisses me off. Even if Epstein wasn't murdered or coerced into suicide, he still got away with his crimes without having to serve his time. And he took with him the names of all the rich and powerful, who will continue to act like they're above the law because they basically are. They'll probably get away with abusing and raping innocent young girls because they have enough influence and power to get the legal system to overlook them.

I thought they always put pedo in segregation. Like if they segregate some no name trailer trash who diddled kids for 5 years why wouldnt they segregate someone like Epstein?
I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure they have to segregate inmates who are high risk of being harmed

From what I've seen so far--from first-hand sources that aren't some journalist citing anonymous sources on Twitter, anyways-- every indication is that he was alone in his cell at the time. He couldn't possibly be kept in GenPop because of the sorts of crimes he committed, and because of the high-profile nature of his case, which was still ongoing. Keeping pedophiles from killing or harming themselves in lock-up is notoriously difficult, though. They have the highest rate of suicide of any type of criminal kept in a cell.
There's still a lot of information that we don't have yet, and with how insane just the first day was for this story I don't expect any shortage of speculation or wild conspiracies being thrown around, but I also can't blame anyone for conspiracy-mongering about this story because holy shit how did this happen. Everyone on the face of the planet knew that he was going to die in prison and yet somehow it still managed to happen. Someone in the MCC needs to have their ass ripped off, stapled back on, and then ripped off again.
First, I've seeing a few people saying "the most obvious explanation is that he indeed killed himself because Occam". Realistically speaking, him being murdered is equally likely. Politicians murdering people who are inconvenient for them isn't even a conspiracy theory. Just ask anyone from any part of the world and they all tell you about a known case in their country and for lesser reasons. I've read about people being killed because some corporate shenanigans or because some love affair: this guy was involved in child sex traffic WORLDWIDE. We're talking about bring down the whole statement if some names became public. Of course it's quite likely that someone with money managed to bribe the right people in jail and got the job done.
I'm sure something will happen sooner, but I doubt it will be that bad. The ones we already had were enough to cover up for them to move the pieces around so this murder happens. Whatever is next shouldn't be so obvious, but something that look casual.

The civil cases for compensation will proceed against his estate and his co-conspirators can still face criminal charges. The rich and powerful men who had sex with these young girls will almost certainly face no consequences, but even with Epstein alive they wouldn't have.

The thing with this is that there's no actual way to confirm he was even taken off suicide watch other than "bro trust me lol" from the guys who would naturally be suspects in the homicide.
