I love how DSP claims that turning the music off his GTA4 playthrough is a BENEFIT to his audience.

Here is a controversal opinion: play GTA4 with the music turned on for your Twitch audience and then don't upload the videos to Youtube. Dog forbid you not get your sheckles. Maybe do fundraising to make up the video revenue you would lose.

I cannot even imagine how small that sheckle amount is too. He only get's 300-1.3k views on a vid--we're talking about pennies to maybe a $1.50 per YT video.

I checked out a lot of the videos in the playlist and could not find a single muted video, but the audio claims may not effect all countries. One thing I did notice was he started the majority of his videos with "Okay" or "Alright"

The same guy that says his $450 patreon every month is "basically nothing", but he has to get his $0.50 for a 300 view Part 16 of 50 playthrough.

This motherfucker ended the prestream and went on a break! He didn't even bother to turn music on or anything.

I don't think Youtube has actually muted music since they actually added monitization. Wasnt the muting a thing they did way back before to make it so people couldnt "steal" music without giving credit to the original artists? That's why videos now will auto detect the music and put the info into the description.

He thinks he is slick because he's replaying a game and he is trying to mask it as a more interactive stream with turning off the music. That's the main reason and excuse he's doing again aside from more youtube archive shekels.

The dude can't drive for shit in the first place, how is he going to interact and drive at the same time? Don't tell me he's going to pull over the side of the road every time.

I was in chat for this. Within five minutes, he fit Jasper into the conversation. Speaking of something in the game, he said something like: 'Took it right on the chin. Speaking of chins, this morning Jasper woke me up licking my chin. I was sleeping, and Jasper was standing on my chest, licking me.'

Another memorable thing I heard (this may have been the other day) Phil was asked which two movies and two games he'd choose if stranded on an island. Movies: Ghostbusters and Clue. Games: Super Mario World and Super Street Fighter Turbo. He didn't really expand on his picks.

I love it when DSP has an hour and twenty minute prestream, and then starts the game and goes into full Youtube mode with "Hello everyone!" Bitch, some of us (stupid ones) have been here for over an hour now.

Also, his Xbox just said that "'Darksydephil' last signed in from another console." I have a PS4 and not an XBox, but that seems like a weird notification.

Playthrough starts with Dave getting whipped.

If the last game he played on it was an Xbox 360 game in backwards compatibility mode then that is why he got the notification.

EDIT: He's playing GTA IV in backwards compatibility mode, so yeah that will also cause the notification since the last console he was signed into was the Xbox One.

Holy crap, the game looks like absolute ass and it runs even worse, at like 10 frames per second or something with constant, very noticeable stutters.

-edit- He's now contemplating to abandon this playthrough and download the game on his actual Xbox 360 instead of the backwards compatibility mode on the Xbox One. What a shitshow. :story:

Didn't take 10 minutes to test out a game before starting a playthrough. Professional streamer, everyone. :stress:

-edit- He restarted the game and it's running better. He'll continue using this version for now. It has been two hours since the supposed official start of the stream, with about 10 minutes of gameplay.

One of three reasons:
1) They are man children themselves that love the idea of someone playing video games for a living.
2) Cult mentality: people will see us attacking DSP and decide to support their "friend" no matter what.
3) Trolls hope that if they tip then DSP will go on a salty rant when there's a 50-50 chance he ignores the tip completely.

I've seen some cases where it still happens, Zooland Records are usually quite anal about people using their tracks in mixes so the mixes usually end up getting removed or muted.

Their community is really tight knit. I think some of those guys have been following Phil for almost a decade. As far as the DSPhere is laid out it explains why the OG Kojima World Order was largely former DSP fans, while the Sons of Kojima were mostly Weeens.
