But this could have been the random thing the police needed to tip the scales from "we suspect this is a pervert but don't have enough explicit evidence to move on (and oh btw, protected class as transexual)" to "this person has publicly confessed to possession of a prohibited item and now we can search for the suspected child exploitation". I mean, yeah :optimistic: and oh btw generally the cops spinning a lesser charge into a larger investigation is legally horrifying, but couldn't happen to a nicer pervert, and honestly it seems like Yaniv's over-cocked antics on stream with Blaire were the main factor leading to this outcome.

I'm not surprised, she goes after low-hanging fruit. I mean it's obvious to the majority that what Jessica Yaniv did was stupid (the waxing thing) and plain wrong (the pedophilia). Still doesn't change the fact that we just witnessed a debate between two men in women's clothing and you don't need a pedophile to see it, it's just another extremity that some people did warn would happen. But as far as I know, the debate is pointless. What is there to debate?

All debate, about pretty much every other subject, is pointless at this rate. It's time to actually do stuff that matters, but nobody wil because they want whatever is left of the YT money instead without moving a muscle for it.

I don't know why Blaire is acting like they did it to protect her or something. If it was the viewers who called in the report or sent an anonymous tip online it was more to try and take Yaniv down and less to do with Blaire. That's pretty obvious at this point, especially because Blaire didn't seem so scared when someone on a screen in a different country pulled out a taser.

Also, while minorly off topic, I agree with @MediocreMilt here, I think the RCMP needed an excuse, especially on such a public case so someone may have just kept an eye on Yaniv publicly. Quite often it's hard to actually take down some pedophiles because they're smart enough to not have anything properly incriminating for a jury or judge who doesn't know their whole life to assume guilt. While I don't like police using bullshit to take someone down, I can see its uses in cases like these. Tasers are not allowed in Canada (even the police are highly encouraged not to use it Willie-Nilly) so ideally Yaniv will go down from the fact of having one as well as the methods they had to go through to get one. I rest doubt it had any relation to Blaire herself. Any debate with anyone could have caused this, especially because lots of non-Blaire watchers watched this.

Apparently her number was accidently doxxed when she updated her Insta. She was getting tons of calls during a livestream and... oops.

*edit* She changed her number, and phoned Joey so he'd get the new number. Joey then remarked that they are "leaking her old address." which Blaire quickly claimed "That's not it! That's not correct at all." and Joey responded doubtfully, but apologized and hung up. Blaire barely a minute later ended the stream

Looks like people found her address too.

The address people were spamming the chat with was 510 Citrus Ave. Chico, CA. If she ever went to California State and lived on campus, then it's an old address.
