This is the first time I've seen a youtubers face tattooed on a person. I am disgruntled, perturbed even. I think I'll drink after work today.

When Arin is eventually discovered to be a transexual pedophile the only way that guy could cover up that tattoo is to get an H.R. Giger bio-mechanic monstrosity to cover that up. I can understand tattoos of legendary icons (Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley, Martin Luther King, etc_; you know, people who left a significant impact on the world before they died. But Arin Hanson?
The guy who initially posted this image got a reply from the kid who got the tattoo in this first place. Not only did that tat cost him almost $300, but his reasons for getting it was because Arin - despite doing controversial thing that the kid hates him for - taught him to embrace his weirdness and not give a crap about what people thought of him (then proceeded to tell the poster to grow up...proving his earlier statement about not caring what people thought of him was a load of crap). I will agree that Arin is still the kid's role model, though - just not in the way the kid envisions.
This is a kid who is going to have some serious regrets about the modifications he did to his body when he gets older (and not just in regards to the Arin tattoo, either).

I know I shouldn't be surprised at this point - there have legitimately been people who've actually drained the last of their life savings on streams in order to get a chance for the Grumps to acknowledge them - and yet somehow this seems slightly crazier to me than the body pillows. Because those are just items, you can throw them out or hide them if you get sick or ashamed of it. Inking your skin with them is a bit more out there.

Well, they can get rid of a tattoo if they experience regret down the line; it's just going to be ridiculously expensive and painful (either tattooing over the tattoo or laser removal).
Maybe Dan didn't inspire him to be something he isn't - like Arin had.

Some people tattoo themselves with things they have deep reverence for, or things they have an aesthetic connection to like a certain art style or object. But this guy, this guy tattoos himself with the face of someone who makes low effort gamer videos and will be almost entirely irrelevant within 5 to 10 years.
In 20 or 30 years, the world is likely going to be a very bizarre place comparitively; Imagine being in your 50s and having to explain to someone else who Arin Hanson of game grumps was.

Arin can't be held accountable for what the Lovelies do to their own bodies; and given his expression in that photo - I somehow doubt he'd discourage fans who want to do this to themselves (just inflates his ego that much more).
