Drawing exclusively furry porn is essentially like getting an Epic Store exclusively deal; it puts food on the table and for some people thats good enough. The worst kind of furry is a horny furry for various reasons, but the most annoying one in my opinion is how much they wreck house in their own fandom. Yes the fandom itself is routed directly in porn but they really had every chance to branch out from said roots and establish themselves as more than that.

But instead their primal urge to smash (and maybe a bit of how lonely and awkward a lot of the fetish-loving ones tend to get) got the better than them, and now you can literally make similar earrnings to a fulltime job by drawing nothing but red rockets and donut holes. Unless you have a really creative style or get lucky, most SFW artists are screwed. You can argue though that this is just the nature of how the internet works, since even shipping artwork on DeviantArt (and shipping culture in general) always outpreformed any other types of artwork even if its just some crudly drawn MSPaint base art.

The only decent way to make money off this fandom anymore is fursuit making. But that requires a lot of skill, money and dedication to get started up. Even then your first few suits are gonna be so shitty, they'd make for better bonfire material than costume, so its a lot of frustrating work and dedication to even get into a position of making money off it. Once you get there though it feels a lot better than selling your soul to the horny.

Nah, the suit types are kinda risky even though they do pay a lot when legit. If you're looking for profit, the avatars in SecondLife and VR Chat are where the money is. Only costs time to make anything and you can keep logs of their account and such as a bit of a safety net.

Then clearly their doing what artists usually do, artists hardly ever interact with the medium they work in. It's a lonely lifestyle for sure, but they come in do the work, make bank, and then are on their way.

Most of the fandom seem to care about the personality of a person far too much, even expecting others who really don't bother interacting with others to be humble, you'd be lucky if an actual artist gave you the time of their day, they really don't want to deal with people and for good reason, they just want to do their job.

Speaking from a little bit of minor research, it looks like the CDC is pretty hands-off re: HIV outbreaks, but it's dependent on scale. If the local health departments can handle it, then the CDC will let them deal with it. But it probably feeds back to the CDC, anyway, and if there are identifiable connections between numerous simultaneous outbreaks, they'll probably start asking some questions.

The folks who are responsible about their activities will continue to do so. The ones who aren't will likely take care of themselves since exposure to different strains of HIV can cause it to mutate to drug resistant forms.
