some of them go as far as to pick names based on trying to take over the identity of women they are angry with. There was a british troon in jail for pedophilia/murder, and used the name of the girls (or their mother?? can't remember which) to fuck with the family during the trial. One of the yaniv victims that came forward was named jessica, he was going on about how "girls named jessica are always hot".He hates women. His ex wife is (from what I remember) quite strong and can lift a fair bit?
It’s not that uncommon for really awful men to seek to colonise and destroy whatever their ex was into. I’ve had an ex who flipped out and got into a sport I was into and trained insanely hard until the point he could beat me (I was good at it, he wasn’t, but he was, well, a bloke, and this entire thread shows how even mediocre men can thrash women at sports) and then he just dropped it.
I’ve seen the same thing play out twice more with female friends - husband muscled their way into a pastime/area the wife was proficient in and fucked it up for the wife. It’s a way of destroying the ex.
It’s a mindset shared by violent abusers and cluster Bs generally. If I can’t have you, no one can. If you’re doing something you enjoy, I will destroy it. If you oppose me, I will destroy you. They can’t accept opposing viewpoints or not be centred in everything.
Deep down, there’s a violent jealousy of real women. Rees is generally needing to be absolutely top dog in anything he does - he’s an ‘elevenerife’ type if ever I saw one. Such people are pretty tiresome to be around, you can never have a laugh with them.
I wish the public were more informed about the dynamics of serially abusive men, what they do is so often not illegal but is a danger in the long run, and it is nothing like what people think it is based on movies/tv/books. Rhys might have gotten the chop out of some weird twisted pussy envy, since he tried so hard to turn himself into a carbon copy of his ex (but better than her, of course!).
