Video dump from Anna's IG today. Some horrifying shots of her in athletic gear doing "athletics".
Yikes.

I'll give her one thing, though: she's a hell of a lot more mobile than MANY of her counterparts in this thread. Compare her (kinda) jogging and jumping jacks and whatever that was on the wall to the "exercise" we see from Amy or Chantal which seems to mostly consist of sitting down the whole time and feebly flailing their arms a little. Sure, she'd never be able to keep it up for long, but she's at least more capable.

This has to be trolling, right!? (:_(

Oh no, they believe this shit. Eradicating obesity is genocide and eugenics, lol.

Funny how there's never any comment on how the fast food and junk food industries actually "target children," huh. Happy Meals and artificially colored, sugar-bomb garbage snack foods are a little more pervasive than 10-year-olds at WW meetings. There are now kids with hypertension and prediabetes.

I was reading GOMI (yeah, idk why either) but Anna has an active thread over there. I saw someone mention that Anna shared a video from a bar or a party where she had to have a regular height chair pulled over for her because her candy juicy thighs didn't fit on the barstools.

Of course, because GOMI is a flaming piece of shit forum, they can't share screengrabs or pictures, so idk what video they are talking about. :'( Does anyone know? (I really can't wade through all her TikToks at this point.)

It wasn't really much I think it was in the Tik Tok from the other day that was posted, this one maybe? Everybody else got a stool style thing and Anna got a bigger yellow chair with 4 sturdier legs.

Here's another stupid AF Tik Tok she did where she pretends to steal a bunch of stuff like a dainty gorl. The part where the 5-8', 500lb gorl tries to act all sneaky and dainty is pure gold.

She removed all the Lizzo stuff from her IG and Tik Tok. I figured something would happen with that shit. Either the SJW crowd told her to stop profiting off a black woman's back or Izzo herself told the beast to back the fuck off.

New mom says bone marrow cancer went undiagnosed as a result of doctor's 'fatphobia'
Los Angeles-based comedian, writer and co-founder of a feminist comedy theater, Jen Curran, took to her Twitter page on Monday to share the “crazy story” in a 41-tweet thread. In it, she explained that she had high protein in her urine during her pregnancy, which was diagnosed by her ob-gyn as preeclampsia. But as the levels of protein continued to increase after the birth of her healthy daughter in February, the ob-gyn recommended that Curran see a kidney doctor.

“I didn’t ask for a recommendation,” she admitted in her tweets. “Since I had a new baby to lug with me, I assumed it would be easiest to go to a doctor covered by my insurance, near my house. Whoops.”

The convenient choice ended up being a doctor who looked at her lab results and concluded that they weren’t of concern. When Curran pushed for an explanation of why her protein levels were the only indication that her body might not have recovered from birth just yet, when it had in all other ways, the doctor suggested that she “try to lose some weight.”

The 38-year-old said she wasn’t content with the doctor’s suggestion, in part because she had researched “how toxic diet and weight-loss culture can be.”

“I knew in my gut something else was wrong,” she wrote. “Finally I decided to get a second opinion.” Curran asked her ob-gyn for a recommendation for a kidney specialist this time around, before visiting a second doctor who ran some tests and concluded, “This is not good. And there’s nothing diet or exercise can do to touch it,” according to her tweet.

Not sure how I feel about this. Doctors are human, not infallible. Do any of our medical spergs know if high protein in the urine can be related to obesity in postpartum women who had preeclampsia, or did the doctor really botch this shit?

I dunno but there's this. Being overweight or obese is a risk factor for the cancer she was diagnosed with -- in middle age mind you.

Interesting.

Also, this Jen Curran person is a social justice comedian--the best kind! She was on a podcast glorifying fatness:

"Jana and Jen discuss women's historical 'need' to focus on weight and how it feels to choose not to focus on size. The two women confront their own anti-fat bias and shame and the ways they're working to dispel those thoughts. Jen describes the addiction to control, the piety reflected in maintaining a certain size and the documentary she developed around women and body size. The documentary didn't get made but it was called F.A.T. and discussed what women might accomplish if the beauty industrial complex didn't have people by the neck. The ideas are so pervasive and the science behind body size and weight loss/gain is ever changing. Jen drops some knowledge bombs, educating Jana about what she learned through the process of developing this documentary."

And now she has obesity-related cancer.

Shitty doctors are a dime a dozen, just like in any profession there’s just going to be a percentage that lack the level of competency or caring needed to do their job. It sounds like from her story that her doctor would have told a skinny person to also not worry about the high protein, since the weight loss part sounded like it was tacked on at the end after the doctor already hand waved the result but was pressed for more information.

The thing about protein in urine is it can be many things. preelamsia and eclampsia definitely cause protein in urine.

This lady had multiple myeloma and in order to find that out, it would take a battery of lab testing including biopsies.

Was the kidney doctor a moron? probably. but it could be possible the doctor diagnosed her as having postpartum eclampsia which is a rare thing but it is a thing, and that is why weight loss was suggested because obesity is a risk factor. She was misdiagnosed but I don't think the takeaway message should be "ma fataphobic doctor" reeeeing as much as be an advocate for your own health.

Is multiple myeloma an obesity cancer. Obviously one study thinks so. but according to mayoclinic Risk factors include, being older, being male, being black, family history.

Is multiple myeloma an obesity cancer. No, it is not. Risk factors include, being older, being male, being black, family history.

thejackal just posted a link from a myeloma-specific organization that says, "In a recent study in the New England Journal of Medicine, obesity was linked to eight specific cancers, including multiple myeloma. . . . People were 1.2 times more likely to get myeloma if they had Class 1 obesity and 1.5 times more likely to get myeloma if they had class 2 or 3 obesity." To me potential increased cancer risk in relation to obesity is one of the scariest FA-ignored topics.

I love how they will talk about women's issues when they're not a 90lbs Angelina Jolie made fun of for her stomach looking funny when she bent over. They're actually obese people being treated like the gluttons they are, especially by medical professionals whose job it is to try and keep you healthy.

And I'm sure the slightly chubby girls out there don't appreciate being compared to whales thinking they're in the same boat as them. If someone sees two people, man and woman, at 400 pounds, both will be treated the same. The actual issue is that slightly overweight men don't get treated the same as slightly overweight women, especially in the entertainment industry. I don't think anyone would give a whale of a man special treatment. If anything, whale women get away with it more

JFC. a couple shitty doctors and every one is out to get them. Point out that several diseases have a higher correlation to obesity and its an argument in nuance and semantics.

I mean, it's kind of a catch 22. There are shitty doctors. They can make mistakes, and they can be lazy. "Lose some weight" is kind of a lazy, easy answer.

🤔 But I wonder why. Maybe because obesity predisposes you to, oh, almost everything that can go wrong with your body?

I agree that it's shitty for a doctor to not do a thorough job, or diagnose base on presumptions. A lot of people (of all sizes) have had doctors be dismissive of their symptoms. But not being fat is an easy way to up your chances of having a doctor take you seriously (among the many other advantages.)
