It's pretty much leveled off in the last 2-3 years, but almost every con saw 10-15% attendance increases during the economic downturn. Quite frankly, Vic attending or not attending a con back then would've meant very little in terms of attendance.

When renfamous is dying alone in her bed a childless cat lady with no husband to open the drapes and tell her everything will be okay, and no kids to say goodbye too, I hope someone just drops all these tweets into her dessicated lap so she can relive the prime years of her life that could have been spent doing anything other then being a vindictive harpey.

Given how popular the Nostalgia Critic was back in those days, I think she had been one of the three finalists, but given her utter lack of charisma I don't imagine there were many people that entered in the first place.
