Two things come time mind actually knowing cops personally for years:

1) Police hate paperwork. The more violent and horrific the crime, the less paper work. If you shoot someone, the amount of paper work the cop fills out is like a page. They move on and leave the bulk of the work to detectives and all those people. However, if you get into a domestic or get into a pissing match with your neighbor, that cop will have to fill out a shit load of papers. Baire knows that Yaniv is not going to do anything to her, he is too lazy. However, being a trap, Blaire wants attention and drama.

2) Cops have a great sense of humor. To cope with dealing with raped kids and drug addicts on a daily basis, they have a fantastic outlook on the world. I think that this story, about the tranny who walked into the station monday morning, will be repeated for weeks. Some might even join the forum.
