So they're "the world's worst "humans"" huh Bob? Don't think we've forgotten that the worst you had to say about actual proven child trafficker Jeffrey Epstein is that he was a "prick" who you wanted people to stop talking about.
It really gives you a look at Bob's mindset, he only cares about right wing Christian 'wrongs' (how adoption is wrong idk) but filth like Epstein flies under the radar cause he can't tie it back to mayonnaise ghouls and pop culture. Epstein is part of the elite Bob worships so thinking about him negatively would be sacrilege.

Amazon shilling and taking shots at H.P. Lovecraft.

*twitches* He really doesn't grok Lovecraft, does he?

Fuck me with a banana. Lovecraft's writings reflected the standard xenophobia (fear of the unknown) of the times, with a dollop of 'what if we are not special?'. The latter is what makes Lovecraft stick around; a good comparison (albeit in a more humorous vein) is how the Earth gets demolished for a hyperspace bypass in The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Although that had elements of 'the uncaring inertia of bureaucracy' with it, and the Blob probably sneers at people who rightfully view their government with suspicion.

With Bob being a fedora-tipping atheist, you'd think he would agree with the philosophy of cosmicism, which boils down to "there is no God and any religious people (or just Christians in Bob's case) are ignoramus."

Eh, Lovecraft's racism went well beyond the acceptable bounds of the day, but it probably had more to do with him having some undiagnosed psychological issues. He wasn't putting on a Klan hood and burning crosses; he was collapsing into a quivering heap at the idea of anything less than pureblood WASPs. (He once had a minor breakdown upon finding out he was part Welsh.) Note that Bob still doesn't get Lovecraft; he's just jumping on the woke bandwagon about his merits.

Seriously, the dude needs to take a serious break from Twitter I feel, if all it does is make him constantly rant about the "mediocre white people" all the time.

On a different note, I gotta say, it's really frustrating to hear him get all frustrated over people's praise for the recent Mission Impossible films simply because they get acclaimed for doing some things better than his precious Marvel films. Case in point:

Or to quote his words, he doesn't get why some prefer it over MCU films because, in his words, "What, it’s based on a TV show instead of a comic book? Because Tom Cruise’s agelessness is aspirational to my overwhelmingly aging-male industry? Because it’s the last “name” franchise still firmly ensconced in the previous century. It’s the last refuge if you prefer your 120 minutes of explosions, fist-fights and car-crashes to not be tainted by jokes, capes, teenagers, popular music with too much rhythmic bass (and verses in languages you may not speak), Chinese and/or Korean pop-stars or Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson? I don’t get it. "

To be fair, the Mission Impossible film series is HATED, absolutely HATED by fans of the TV show.

And while profitable, the first half of the franchise were widely panned by critics who weren't fans of the franchise too. Especially the second and third ones.

The entire point of the franchise, BTW, is that in the early 90s, Tom Cruise (in a moment of pure egomania) approached the owners of the James Bond franchise and "volunteered" his services to play James Bond in the film that became Goldeneye. The owners of the Bond franchise not only told Tom Cruise to cut off his dick and fuck himself with it, but told him point blank they would NEVER EVER EVER hire an American to play Bond.

This put Tom Cruise into a semi-permanent state of anger and the story of the way he was rejected by the owners of the Bond franchise made it's way to Paramount. Paramount was a studio that had released a good number of Cruise's films over the years and told Cruise that if he wanted to play super spy, they'd give him the Mission Impossible franchise as his very own personal vanity project to do whatever he wanted with it.

The first three MI films were glorified INO Bond films with Cruise as the lead and pretty much rejected the set-up of the show, which was that it was a TEAM of spies, not just Cruise. While TV fans hated the first film and critics were blah, it did well with casuals and made money. However, MI 2 and 3 got torn apart by critics and fans, though again, it made money. But MI3 led to several PR debacles (spurned on by the fact that Cruise fired his agent;the only person who could keep Cruise and his autism under control AND one of the few people that the Church of Scientology legit feared), most notably the tabloid debacle with Katie Holms and the Couchgate incident, plus him forcing Comedy Central (who is owned by the same people who own Paramount Studios) to pull a rerun of an episode of South Park making fun of Scientology.

By the time MI4 came along, Cruise had a string of high profile flops and was no longer the golden boy of Hollywood. He retooled MI4 onward to make it more like the TV show (with several major B-List actors as his supporting cast), pushing for tighter continuity with the stories going forward (the first three MI films were basically stand alone films that could be seen in a vacuum independently), along with a heavy emphasis on stuntwork Cruise did himself, in part due to a depression based fear that fans only loved Cruise in action films, so Cruise decided to give the fans their money's worth by doing his own stunts.

The films are profitable and all, and the last one got a lot of extra coverage due to Henry Cavill; who's performance (and mustache) was well received by critics and fans.

The franchise is still working under the backlash from the first three films (but mostly the second and third, due to the first film having some level of early installment weirdness in terms of tone), but it's definitely won over a lot of people due to Cruise rightfully taking criticism about the first three films and retooling the film series to address it and make the films better.

Bob's hate for the franchise is due to the fact that MI got better and continues to do better, because it LISTENED to fans whereas the MCU is now going into super dark water, adapting plans for Phase 4 that are going to kill the gravy train dead due to it continuing to put all of it's eggs into the Brie Larson basket and now doubling down with SJW identity politics and Whor, which unless it takes a huge piss on the character, is going to be a franchise killer and a career killer for Portman.

So had we voted Hillary Rodham into office she would turn conservative during her second term?

She would have been conservative day one. Both war mongering and instituting draconian censorship which, within a couple of months, would inevitably be turned against the members of the base who were not afraid to get in her face and call her out on her shit. Or anyone in the media who called her out on her shit.

I hate capeshit and yet I've never seen the godfather 2. Checkmate manchildren.

I like how dipshits like Emile here act like anyone who doesn't like capeshit must be a film snob. Like if you don't like Budweiser you must be a beer snob. I watch all kinds of cinematic garbage. Fucking Tremors is one of my favorite movies of all time. I've seen that movie 100 times at least. Capeshit movies get derided because they follow a predictable formula that's easy to digest for general audiences. They're mass marketed products, not art. They're designed so that the general audience doesn't feel too stupid when something happens. Everything in the movies are foreshadowed so hard that your average 9 year old can see the twists coming.

Like your dumb superhero shit if you want to, just don't act like you're enlightened because you cried like a bitch when Tony Stark died.

Lovecraft had such an extreme mental breakdown that he didn't leave his house for years and couldn't finish high school. Both his parents were sent to the same mental institution. His father died there, possibly of syphilis when Lovecraft was 3 years old and Lovecraft spent his childhood being called grotesque and hideous by his increasingly deranged mother.

There are people with Lovecraft's childhood who go on to be mass shooters. Plus, Lovecraft became less racist as he aged and broadened his horizons through correspondence and travel. He's an example of someone struggling with some really fucked up shit and still managing to a) do something valuable with his life and b) improve over time as he began to recognize his behavior when he was young was based on irrational prejudice.

Bob had no such problems in his life and wound up a basement dwelling capeshit movie reviewer who is just as bigoted as Lovecraft. His targets just happen to be po' white folk. Unlike Lovecraft, who was already changing his opinions at Bob's age, he actually seems to be getting more bigoted over time.

tl;dr: Bob is demonstrably worse than HP Lovecraft and this includes the xenophobia

The only way Bob could ever Bash the Fash is if someone laid him on his side and rolled him down a hill at them.

There he goes spouting off about being “SUPERIOR” again. Is he really that entrenched believing in his superiority or is he trying to make it a meme and try to brush it all away as “lol jk brah!” like he tried with eugenics? To be clear I think it’s the former but I also thinkhe’ll start to dip into the latter when people start to rub his nose in his “SUPERIORITY”.

He is an Objectivist, but cannot admit it in public because that would means losing all the Patreon cuck bucks.
In the tradition of Ayn Rand, he’s sacrificing his principles for money.
