I can't speak for black communities but I can say that North/West Asia does not accept super fats as "healthy" or an "ideal". You'd never get a husband or bride if you're fat (not even western fat but ~small fat~), people are starting to boycott and avoid western fast food places because of the impact cheap shit has had on weight and health, and the reason immigrants get fatter here is because coke which is a luxury there is cheap as shit here and convenience foods are also more fatty and sugary than what they're expecting. Using the coke example again, coke is not only cheaper here but much more sweet vs bubbly. There is some degree of novelty to being able to have a coke with every meal even if you're not super rich. The same is in Europe, much less sweet there and more bubbly. And "healthy" cereals are the same deal. Filled with sugar and processed to remove most natural fiber yet advertised as healthy so people think it's ok to give it to their kids. Hell, I knew a new immigrant mom who thought hot dogs were real meat until a doctor explained why their child was iron deficient. They just don't consider that the food here can be essentially fake filling and the moment they learn they cut them out of their diet and lose the weight fast because their normal food is filled with veggies and protein, they just use bad add-ons or take innocent shortcuts with their kid's food and snacks.

The population does support fat people but not the way FAs would want. People literally crowd funded for the largest man in Pakistan to be flown out to the one doctor that actually would perform weight loss surgeries and could deal with a land whale. Even the Army helped out and used one of their helicopters to fly him out. The man died unfortunately but the thought was there, we'll get together to make you normal and healthy again. Not "fat is great!" Or "damn those Americans fat shaming those gluttons", it's treated like the problem it is.

Correct. There is a plumpness that has been considered desirable or "healthy" for millennia and it's not isolated to Africa. Fucking hell, even in western Europe it was considered until VERY recently that a bit of meat on the bones was fortuitous because it signaled that your family had money or means to allow you to be plump. I'm gobsmacked with every new Corissa update. She is going to die by 45 if she stays with J. WW in general seems to attract fatties that don't really want to lose weight. However, I have known one person...yes, one person...who did it efficiently and lost a good bit of weight to the point that he became a "counselor" or what ever they are or were called. He swore by it, but again and again this is brought up, but it's the same story. He is incredibly disciplined. He gained a fair amount of weight because he was transferred for work, his spouse wasn't with him, he didn't cook...you get the picture. However, he is disciplined. He worked out, he followed the plan to the letter. There was a dinner party he threw that he used a WW recipe and it was fucking amazing. It's possible for it to work, but it takes the right person. These folks don't want to lose weight. They see nothing wrong with breaking toilet seats or not being able to wipe themselves properly. If they have to buy two seats on a flight, that's fatphobic, not what most of us see as paying for the fucking fuel you and your baggage will require.
