It looks like my suspicion may have been right that the new dirty dozen of TCW episodes will largely be "What (and maybe who) Ahsoka did after she left the Jedi" -- especially with this trailer clip that looks like something from her showdown with Maul during the Siege of Mandalore right as Order 66 begins. In short, nothing of much value for anyone apart from the die-hard SW and Ahsoka spergs.
Pretty much. 12 episodes are all that will be made and only 4 of them aren't Ahsoka-focused... Among the 12, only 4 of the 8 original poorly animated episodes have been confirmed to be in the final season and there's been no confirmation on whether or not the other 4 episodes will ever be reanimated (but they sure as heck won't be on Disney+). The 4 not-Ahsoka episodes in question that will be reanimated are from the Bad Batch arc which is about Anakin teaming up with Clone Force 99, a clone unit made up of defective but highly skilled clones. The 4 episodes that won't get reanimated are the Utapau episodes where Grievous is actually a badass again... The other 8 confirmed episodes (all Ahsoka...) are mostly ones that weren't even partly animated at all aside from a few scenes but had finished scripts, however some of them will be "updated" for the revival, like the Ahsoka episode where her
snarky asian love interest has now been replaced by lesbian space bikers.
Among the untouched scripts for Filoni Wars there were two seasons worth of episodes that only got a few scenes animated, and only a select few are getting adapted for Disney+, mainly the Ahsoka arc which is 4 episodes long and explains how she deals with her banishment and the Mandalorian arc (with Ahsoka) which is 4 episodes too, which means the other unfinished stories will never see the light of day despite being the last things George and his original story team ever worked on.
10 story arcs in all were mostly written up for seasons 7 and 8, but only 2 (the two Ahsoka ones mentioned above) will be animated, while 2 others were adapted into a Disney book and comic (mainly a Maul and Ventress story, although Maul's shit might get referenced in the Disney+ version). Among the now 6 lost story arcs are:
1: The Bounty Hunter arc which would conclude Boba's story in FW and pit him against Cad Bane in a battle to the death and it would also serve as a tie-in to the cancelled 1313 game (their poorly rendered fight scene is available on youtube).
2: Another Ahsoka arc (set before her banishment) where she discovers some gigantic bones beneath Coruscant and Palpatine wants to steal Jedi holocrons but Ahsoka stops him. Ahsoka wankery mainly.
3: Kashyyyk arc where its explained how Yoda grew such close ties with the wookiees and it would be Chewbacca's first major role in FW. It was mostly EU fanservice filled with references to a lot of games, comics and books all relating to Kashyyyk and Chewbacca, and it would deal with Wookiees and their long standing feud with the Trandoshans who have joined forces with the CIS.
4: The R2 & Rex arc was about R2 and Rex forming a bond after getting stranded on the moons of Ryloth. They end up reprogramming a broken Battle Droid. The arc was a comedy but eventually dealt with some dark themes apparently like how both Rex and the droids deal with their own expendability and self-worth.
5: Another Mon Calamari arc focusing around Padme trying to stabilize hostilities between the Mon Calamari and the Quarren again.
6: The Yuuzhan Vong arc... Probably the most controversial one due to that it would effectively retcon the entirety of the Vong and how they fucked the Galaxy. The story would be a horror/thriller/mystery themed story similar to the X-Files and would involve a Vong scout ship that just arrived in the galaxy from the Void to study the Republic's defenses and in the process would abduct a native lifeform for study. They would serve as a mysterious presence throughout the arc. The Vong were still evil skull-faced Hellraisers who used organic tech, but Filoni reimagined them as no longer being immune to the Force and made them detectable.
I suspect the reshoots must still be in-progress to not have an (updated?) trailer for Episode IX at this event. Had the reshoots been complete or focused on minor/inconsequential scenes, one would think someone in Disney/Lucasfilm would cobble together a trailer from the completed stuff to get fans interested in the film. It certainly doesn't look good, huh?
Seems to be the case. A trailer for IX along with several minutes of new footage were promised but nothing has come of this aside from a measly clip show trailer which is mostly about Frozen II. Most people on Facebook, 4chan and Reddit won't shut up about Vader's helmet and how "hot" Kylo Ren is. Some are even talking about Vader and Palpatine's clones being in the film simply because of the white room Kylo is in since "OMG ITS KAMINO!"...
And the Reylo faggotry is everywhere.
