It's always disturbing to see the access media say that we "need" to buy the latest product from the biggest corporation.

Well how would these shills get paid otherwise? It's always disturbing to see the access media say that we "need" to buy the latest product from the biggest corporation.
The only thing most people remember the show for are the episodes about kwanza and black history month. That’s literally it.Just read an article that said that we "NEED" Disney+ because it has a Proud Family revival on it.

From what I recall, Proud Family was a really mediocre show that had obnoxious characters and choppy animation. I mean was the Proud Family some kind of big deal back then? Is that why people think it and Lizzie McGuire are a big motivator to subscribe to Disney+ now? I can understand that Phineas and Ferb show since almost every site and even people here talked about it, so I guess it was pretty damn big, but the Proud Family was basically a "literally who". And as for Phinease and Ferb, it feels like they're just m;lking it for popularity despite that, from what I understand, it already had an official ending. Unless it wasn't conclusive? Either way, these unnecessary revivals are getting on my nerves. Only reason I enjoyed the Samurai Jack and Zim revivals were because their shows ended on cliffhangers that never resolved the core plot of their shows, thus it gave them some nice conclusions. These other revivals however feel really pointless other than to tard cum nostalgiafags of their money and take advantage of this revival craze.
glancing at sadpanda for "proud family" brings up less than two dozen resultsSure that Proud Family is one of those shows that only gets talked about on tumblr for wokeness and the chans by weirdos who want to sexually assault the girl characters.
I remember them doing an episode about Islamophobia with someone spraypainting GO HOME TOWELHEAD (or something along the lines) on a Muslim girl's house. The only thing most people remember the show for are the episodes about kwanza and black history month. That’s literally it.
It's a little too easy to go after woke millennials but once Disney started appealing to them and rebranding away from "for familes" (read: for younger kids), the corporate greed and mediocre products really ramped up. Who needs to put effort into things when all the people with blogs and twitter will sperg about your movie as free advertisement and take hundreds of instagram pictures at the theme parks? In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if the year old post about the mommy blogger going on a tirade about millennials at Disneyland was specifically dug up again to garner the reaction of BUT US MILLENNIALS LOVE DISNEY IT ISN'T JUST FOR KIDS! FUCK OFF YOU STRAIGHT WHITE BITCHThe modern Walt Disney Company is a soulless oligopoly, headed by jackbooted bean counters who care more about mergers and acquisitions than the products they're selling to people. Whatever creative flair the company once had was lost a long time ago. From now on, their output will be nothing but an endless billow of remakes, reboots, and brand-approved franchises, all designed by a committee of accountants and marketing executives.
Did anyone here ever actually watch that show? Only thing I ever saw of it was the intro and half of one episode which was just 12 minutes of the characters tormenting the father. The only thing most people remember the show for are the episodes about kwanza and black history month. That’s literally it.
I guess I'll wait another decade and hope something different happens. The only remotely cool thing that happened at D23 this weekend was the announcement of their new cruise ship coming in 2022.
Every other announcement was something along the lines of "Member Lizzie Maguire? Member Lady and The Tramp? Member Boba Fett? MEMBER? Buy Disney Plus streaming services today!"
Proud Family to me always looked like one of Bill Cosby's stand-ups without the punchline, and I just never understood it. I suppose it's the first fully-animated black family (that you actually followed and weren't just neighbors who occasionally showed up like the Carmichaels on Rugrats or just a group of friends like Fat Albert) on a children's network, but I don't think it was anything special otherwise. I preferred That's So Raven anyway, but that's not animated so it "doesn't count",
I remember the reason they're so reluctant to fix it being they'd have to take the whole mountain apart to do so and the ride was the one big draw for Animal Kingdom. Now that's not true because of Pandora, but I guess they didn't have any money to fix it because all of it went towards Galaxy's Edge.So I guess they’re never fixing that fucking yeti.
I suppose it's the first fully-animated black family
I remember when south park did the whole "mickey mouse as a brutal mob boss" type thing. That episode where they were joking about how awful it would be when disney acquired star wars made me think "oh it'll be fine, who better to carry on the franchise?"
I was so much younger, living in blissful ignorance. Now there's people that actually want to see disney have a near monopoly on the film industry just for more superhero movies, its insane
