I mean honestly, exactly what SJW era content is really that great? Where is the modern Evangelion/GITS? Where is the modern '1980s Terminator?" I mean has anyone SEEN Xmen lately in the comics? Who cares because Claremont had about a 20 year run to collect.

I think Psycho-Pass was pretty close to a modern day GITS (Gen Urobochi helps) and the Hickman run of X-Men hasn’t been garbage.
Although does anime really count as part of the SJW era? Most of them hate modern anime and prefer older, “purer” works like Sailor Moon or Utena.

A couple exceptions in 2 decades don't change the rules, IMO, and considering Marvel overall...a craptacular series of publications. But to each their own. One likes what one likes.

I consider any content with SJW plots or SJWs prominent in cast/director etc fair game. If you go back and look at the final years of Newtype and Animerica, you'll see SJWs being involved for a LONG time now.

It is undeniable that X-Men has been in the shitter for a long while; my cut off was the Joss Whedon run. And Marvel is just barely crawling from wreckage that was the 2010s...and they’re only getting ahead because DC has been fucking up.
As for SJWs in anime, I really don’t see how. Granted, more and more recent anime are adding legit LGBT representation, but it’s done in a way that’s not as unbearable as Western media. For example, there were two trans characters in My Hero Academia; they were actually tolerable.
