Basically it's a theory we made up as to where Vic gets his pants because no god damn shop known to exist would ever carry those pants and they've never been in style.

So one of the theories to Vics designer pants were that they were made by fans. And Vic being Vic, he would wear these pants made for him by the fans to get some exposure for said fan and to show his appreciation of the gift. That's was the main theory though.

Hah. Well, I can tell you that some are bought from various Japanese designers and some he commissions to be made. I distinctly remember a pair he commissioned... They had about a million zippers on them.

Outside of maybe a couple of lesbian couples in Super, Dragon Ball has never really dealt with serious LGBT rep. Yet it has had a global fanbase for decades, from Europe to Latin America to Southeast Asia. Almost as if you don’t need LGBT characters for a global market. I’m not even going to get into the Cell deal...

Fun fact, the only reason we got the movies and then Super was because Toriyama was snubbed out of the creative process for Evolution.

There's also Luka/Ruka from Steins;Gate who gets a sex change via time travel on purpose because he wants to be a woman.

Luka's ordeal wasn't as simple as "wants to be a woman" though by the end of it all. His whole ordeal was simply that he was gay for Okabe and that maybe being a woman would make his feelings seem normal. By the end of the route, he even says that he doesn't really have any desire to be a woman. Every Tumblr user and their grandmother seem to think he's some advocate for trans characters, but then again, these are the same people that think Naoto from Persona 4 is trans and Kanji is gay too.

Fucking excuse me? Persona 4s concept of subtlety is catastrophic and fiery train crash. The game is long, and they really dont want you to forget stuff that's happened so they keep repeating what's been said in previous ingame conversations. At not a single point does Naoto EVER say she wants to be male for the sake of sexual identity, she wants to be a man because women are often sidelined and overlooked when it comes to police work in Japan. Theres her whole dungeon and her social link reinforcing that several times. Her final conclusion is that she'll just try her damndest to change the perception of women in the police force.

Kanji is similar, he worries as coming as has gay for his likes and mannerisms, but hes not gay. Just insecure at being called gay.

Speaking of MAL, are there any archives of the pages for the players in the Weeb Wars lately? MAL only saves the last 10 or so comments. Monica's page especially gets some hilarious comments, and while Vic mostly gets ISWV stuff, I noticed the remnants of a KickVic tard having stumbled across there and arguing with the ISWV crowd.

Put in "comments#" at the end of the URL. MAL rarely deletes comments because their mods are lazy bastards who won't even update their API (but they'll happily go after reviewers--priorities).

I believe Hibari-kun is trans. The series plays it off as comedy (the family's yakuza, after all, although her sisters are more supportive than their father), but it's not as mean-spirited as you might think, and Hibari-kun is honestly a sweetheart.

There's also the manga Claudine...! from the late-70s by Riyoko Ikeda about a transman (not post-op, though). It's a tragedy, and you do feel bad for Claudine.

You wouldn't believe the straws some of these people grasped at to try and prove their argument. You're right about P4's exposition and themes being about as subtle as a brick to the face, but I guess the usual tumblrite just didn't see the brick coming and got concussed from it instead.

Relatively on topic, I did meet Vic a few years back to get some P3 stuff signed. Was probably one of the nicest VAs I've met.

These are the same people who rub shoulders with the Tumblrites in the Danganronpa Fandom, in regards to Chihiro Fujisaki a character that is more of a trap rather than transgender.
