I don't think younger or newer fans really watch or appreciate old anime in general. I would exercise caution in trying to theorize a political motive.

Case in point:

Oldfags like Justin Sevakis and Daryl Surat gushed over Macross DYRL on their best of the 80s ANN podcast. In the same show, Zac paned it (Hope wasn't on that episode because she's utterly fucking useless for anything pre-mid-90s).

They're all SJWs. It's the age gap that differentiates them.

It's just a hunch but given the lack of interaction one could assume that he is either an introvert or not wanted at the big boys table. But that could just be me reading too much into a situation and making a mountain out of a mole hill. Oh well at least he's consistent with whatever he does.

The above very likely has happened. Toei has no doubt been watching everything because they're making tallies so they have ammo for renegotitions after the lawsuit (with what's been revealed, Toei likely is not happy with how Funi has managed the whole thing and will re-negotiate existing licenses regardless of Vic's loss or victory.... the outcome merely determines the kind of gun they bring) and I have no doubts this either has reached their ears or will soon.....

So now the specualtion. I am going to bet in a month or so Funi is suddenly going to distance itself publicly from Sabat's studio and privately cut all ties with a thinly veiled threat to unload on him if he so much as barks at them because Toei wants Sabat to have absolutely nothing to do with DBZ anymore.

Why? regardless of the Vic situation employing a man that hates even a part of the fandom is not a good look and Toei will not take kindly to their brand being associated with such a man.....

Will this happen? I don't know. However, I sleep well at night knowing any kickvic lurkers reading realize how fucked Sabat is and have to cry themselves to sleep because no matter what now ISWV got one of theirs First.

I think you guys are reading too much into this. Sabat's autistic comment is brought up not because we and other people are so angered by it. It is because they aren't playing by their own rules. People around here make this mistake a lot.
Remember how they turn little offhand comments by Vic into anti-semitism, or homophobia, or whatever? Posed hugs into rape? That's them using those rules against Vic. Is Manjaw actually a pedo for kissing that girl? Probably not but by their rules she is.
That is why we find this stuff and rub it in their faces. Not because we believe it and are sooooooo offended but because they pretend to as a weapon and it just shows what disingenuous shits they all are.

Personally, I only posted what I did because lols... of course I am serious. Japanese companies are known to burn bridge to save their brand image. I have doubts that the moment Toei hears about this, its over for Sabat. They were willing to shut down his studio tour. You really think they won't throw him to the volcano for this?

Well! Did some fun legal work this morning. Then hopped on social media! Turns out the super lawyer says I'm a Kiwi! Is it true? Is it official? Am I an official Kiwi now? I feel like there should have been some kind of award presented. Could I get a Kiwi emoji? Not the fruit mind you, the tiny, adorable bird!

Also, I tried to troll but not sure if i did it right. I signed the legal papers with a pen from the hotel where Faisal has AWA every year. Is that trolling? Could I get some input please?

To me, it may come to some assistant/intern, overworked to hell, trying to convert this into a matter of yen. Regardless of sides of the Pacific, that's just how corporate overlords work.

Being real, it doesn't take much to get tossed in the pit. Looking at certain people funny is enough. In my case I jumped in cause I saw which way things would go real fast.

That studio tour could have been anything. I'll give them yanking Vegeta's Japanese VA, but I feel like if they are gonna drill him, they're waiting for the right time to strike.
