It's not so much about the exact content from the audio. It's more that it's homophobic and something that Funimation allowed to occur, apparently didn't discipline anyone over and decided to keep around as a momento (along with apparently "worse" audio). That's the idea. The point is that they're revealed as hypocrites, specifically Funimation.
