I doubt they're that tactful. Probably just overzealous idiots.
I mean let's not pretend there aren't people on ISWV who are so desperate to contribute that they're making something of nothing - particularly on social media.
Both 'sides' equally as susceptible to shooting themselves in the foot, the only difference is that on KV, those people are the actual defendants.

He has more audio Thursday. Not sure if anything will happen Friday, although apparently he has more paperwork from Ron's divorces (and whatever else comes up over the next few days).
Random aside. TGreg had that fucking paperwork pretty fucking quick in response to Nick talking about it.
I postulate that that means that TGreg has known that Ron Toye is a serial wife beating piece of shit who threatens to dismember dogs as a punishment, beats his wife in front of his son, and threatened to kill a Judge's children for daring to give his ex wife a restraining order against him. He knew and he sat on that, because distancing himself from Ron Toye would have given the plebs a victory, and he couldn't have that.

I personally think the dub is hilarious, but in the light of the Vic case, this is just another piece that paints the culture of anime dubbing as very loose and can breed the sort of behavior that they are so quick to judge Vic against.
EDIT: Thank you Private Pyle for pointing out that ADV did the dub rather than Funimation. Rats.

Yeah, it’s a fairly easy mistake to make. The Houston and Dallas studios have and still do share a lot of voice talent, so it’s hard to tell at times.
On that note, while people are optimistic in Kelamis and Drummond reprising their roles, the license would probably be handed to a California studio. Canadians don’t dub much anime with the exception of Gintama.

Speaking of anime publishers, I'd love to find out what the ones besides Funi think of the whole situation. All of them seem to be keeping rather quiet on the whole thing, understandable so they don't get dragged in by either side, but it's almost guaranteed they are keeping up with the case. Such a case can act as a nice case study for those other publisher as to what they should or shouldn't do if they ever find themselves in the same situation.
I could see some of them using this to try and snap up some of Funi's popular licenses should Japan pull them like some people here have theorized they might. Even if popular titles don't get pulled for whatever reason this whole situation might make Japanese studios turn towards less "toxic" English publisher for their future series unless Funi does some spring cleaning. I'm also curious if we might see some poaching of Funi staff, there must still be good hard-workers left in the company, as the state of the company worsens. If I was in such a situation I know I'd be quietly looking into finding work somewhere else in case the suit goes very bad for Funi.
