Transphobes HATE this true and honest woman! See how she went from fat to fit with one simple trick!

Amazing that a man who has Russell Greer-tier muscles can suddenly be ripped just by calling himself a woman.

this is why philosophy seems like a weaselly profession to me. apparently, unlike math or even English Lit, it can mean whatever you want it to mean? any answer is acceptable as long as its clever & carefully avoids personal responsibility/emotion?

REEEEs fails at even philosophy as he doesn't even pretend to conceal his a priori assumptions, instead flaunting them like a leather daddy in chaps flaunts his ass at a pride parade.

i remember sitting thru interminable boring ass sessions on Plato, Nietzsche, etc. seems like the whole discipline went to Disneyland in the last 2 decades? i consider feminism to be politics or "gender studies"--why is it being included in "philosophy"? (off topic? but maybe not. maybe rhys will jump in to school me)

this weaselling explains why they couldn't get rid of rhys. this krasnoff can't wipe his ass--rhys therefore has him by the short hairs. rhys is far more masculine/Machiavellian & is now running the show.

Well, I have nothing against philosophy. In fact, I would say its under-taught. One of the biggest intellectual issues of our time relates to that. The complete lack of critical thinking.

Philosophy, in theory, is supposed to teach us how to think(not what to think).

Its an honorable and an important discpline. I think, to stay relevant though, its been co-opted by other aspects of humanitites. Either that or philosophy has overreached its actual, fundamental purpose.

IMO the former group is exactly where the subject matter fits. There are real discussions to be had in feminism over situations such as female education prevalence and how that affects certain behaviors, differences in medical research and the disparity in understanding it gives for male and female bodies, the effects of "male as default" in various situations such as car safety tests or safety equipment design, extreme circumstances such as sex-specific abortions and the subsequent human trafficking taking off to secure brides for Chinese husbands, etc. That's legitimate, evidence-supported research.

But instead, the current model in the field appears to just be asking males what they think a woman is, and don't you dare use anything related to physical, measurable evidence when you answer the question.

I think my final 'tune out' with feminism was the all female committee(led by Gloria Steinem) teaching and commenting, as experts, on masculinity..

I think there actually can be interesting/productive conversations on gender. But, at this point, its almost impossible to have them.

Female 'intellectuals' have a stranglehold on it. Until they loosen the grip, there really is no discussion to have...

So is Reeees going to reeee when this new reeeeport from Karolinska Institute is reeeeleased later this year?

Testosterone suppression for transgender women has little effect on reducing muscle strength even after a year of treatment, according to new findings. Researchers say the findings could have important implications for transgender athletes in female sport.

Most sports governing bodies, including the International Olympic Committee, now have policies saying transwomen must take testosterone blockers for at least a year before they can compete at elite level.

But findings by the Karolinska Institute in Sweden, to be published this year, have shown the effect of the hormone treatment in relation to reducing leg muscle strength, is almost neglible for men who transition to become women.

That could be significant in sporting terms because it indicates the physical advantages of biological males are maintained even after transitioning and after hormone therapy to reduce testosterone levels.

Women’s rights groups have claimed for some time that trans women have an unfair physical advantage in some female sports.
Dr Tommy Lundberg, an exercise physiologist at the Karolinska Institute who has led the research, said that muscle mass dropped by five per cent after a year’s treatment, but that the effect on trans women’s muscle strength was neglible. The research was carried out on 23 volunteers — 12 trans women and 11 trans men — to monitor changes in muscle mass and strength during and after a year of hormone therapy.

Lundberg told The Times: “There has been no research at all previously on what happens, especially in terms of strength after transitioning. This is relevant for sports where strength is considered an advantage.
“We have found that trans women’s muscle mass decreases by five per cent after a year but they maintained their strength levels throughout the treatment period.

“While the people in the study are not transgender athletes, the data are still relevant to the sporting community given that there has been no data available on changes in lower-limb muscle strength at this point.”

Previous research has indicated biological males have at least a 10 to 12 per cent higher muscle strength than biological females, and in some power sports up to 39 per cent.

Lundberg’s research, which he has presented at several scientific conferences, also found that women who have transitioned to be men and taken testosterone saw their muscle strength increase by 15 per cent, but they were still not as strong as men who transitioned to be women and took the testosterone blockers.

Ross Tucker, a scientific researcher for World Rugby, believes sports may have to reassess their policies on transgender players as a result of the findings. He said: “Sports are going to have to move with a lot more caution on this.”

Last week, it was revealed that a transgender rugby player is aiming to play in the Welsh women’s league this season despite significant physical advantages.
Most sports now have policies that elite players who were born male and now identify as female must have testosterone below a certain level.

The IOC’s guidelines is 10nmol/litre for at least 12 months, while World Rugby has set a lower limit of 5nmol/litre.

The Times reported last week how the transgender cricketer Maxine Blythin, who is targeting a place in the England women’s team, has a batting average of 15.1 for Chesham 2nd XI men’s team — which is open to men and women — and 123 for the St Lawrence & Highland Court women’s team in Kent.

I think I was the last one to call him doughy. I reckon I could keep up with a week of his training. Doesn’t he only do, like, ten hours or something? My gran could keep up with that.

I mean, yes, Rachel, you are super tough and anyone who says your macho act is weirdly masculine for a true and honest woman is just jealous and deserves to die of brain cancer in a grease fire.

Well, obviously one of the foremost medical universities in the world is a transphobic bigot willfully ignoring DECADES OF TRANS SCHOLARSHIP (ie, Rhys's Twitter). But really, I predict he will dismiss the research because of the sample size of only 23 troons.

I've often wondered about how a study of this type would be conducted. How can you collect reliable muscle strength data from troons who are motivated to prove they are sooooo weak and womanly tee hee? I'm sure not every participating troon would deliberately throw off the data, but wouldn't you expect a good number of them to just...not push as hard during the post-HRT strength tests?

I can't speak to this particular study, but the goal of a given study need not be the same as what you tell the participant as long as you debrief them afterwards. For example, the famous Milgram experiment: the goal was to see how people would react to an authority figure pushing them to do something they know is wrong, but the participant thinks they are doing a study on memory retention. Afterwards, they are told the real experiment.

I'm not even sure that is necessary here. Just tell everyone you're doing a study on human athletic capability. They technically didn't know beforehand they were going to prove that lady troons were still lumbering man-beasts despite hormone treatments. They just probably had a strong hunch.

Apparently Rhys didn't get enough praise from his first tweet and decided to post it again??

The "body shaming" is clearly from his Kiwifarms thread. Obviously no one here gives a shit about being called un-feminist but why does he think that's going to land with his Twitter followers? All it does is remind people that he's a man.

Also I recently gave Rhys some helpful tips about how to respond to transphobic unfeminist shaming of his rippling Adonis-like physique. I'm glad he took one of my suggestions! You're welcome, bro! I won't even get mad about PLAGIARISM!!! like you do.

EDIT: ""Feminist"" troon has an ultra-feminist response to all the cunts who fail to worship Rhys's womanly form:

The Milgram experiment is a terrible example of what would be allowed under human subject regulations today. If you did such an experiment you would get your ass sued off, but you probably wouldn't be allowed to do it in the first place.

I could keep up with his level of training. Gah, Rhys some of us here are real athletes. 10 to 12 hrs per week is nothing for an endurance athlete during peak training season.

BTW, Rhys, since you are here - you are
1. mean,
2. a narcissistic misogynist and a
3. a white MAN.
Moreover, you are privileged enough to have gone to school for 20+ years and to have studied a discipline that has no real financial value outside of academia. This means your parents probably footed the bill for your room and board, at least. I bet you've never had to worry about where your next meal was going to come from.

I could go on and on ( and I will eventually because you irritate me), but I do want to say that this Mexican, for one, is not buying your tale of woe and oppression.

Some of us aren't fooled, you silly turd.

Also note that I wasn't able to find any instances of him being called "doughy" specifically on Twitter, but plenty of examples of him being called that here; the last time being a mere three days ago... really makes you think!

Aside from the fact that I don't think I have ever seen anybody use the adjectives "effeminate" or "soft" to describe Rhys and that the majority of weak men are still able to beat most women in physical competition because of this little thing called biology, there is nothing that says you can't both be a raging machine and be weak. In fact, insecure, weak men like Rhys often exhibit traits of exaggerated masculine rage precisely because they are weaklings who feel the need to constantly prove themselves in order to convince both themselves and the people around them that they are actually strong in body and mind.
Suck in harder!!!

It’s ironic that the pigs Rhys so despises are the ones who made it possible for him to be the flabby, indulged wastrel we have before us today.

Inspector Gregg McKinnon of the Saanich Police Department was one of the highest paid municipal employees in Victoria, raking in over $105k annually— and that’s in 1990’s money. In the year of his retirement (2004) he was the highest paid, thanks to additional benefits that nearly doubled his usual salary. Mom wouldn’t bring in quite that much from the University of Victoria where she works as the Executive Assistant to the Vice President of Research, but $55k a year is nothing to sneeze at, even in Canadian dollars. With just the one bouncing boychild in the house, young Rhys was at his leisure to explore famously inexpensive pursuits like golf at the family’s club.

I like to think Rhys took all of that filthy, tainted cop lucre from dad and put it to good use: by squandering educational opportunities and financial assistance most scholars would kill for in order to be a two-day-a-week entry level professor who spends his free time harassing cancer patients on Twitter.

Why should he worry? Rhys hit the jackpot when he convinced CofC that a straight white man in a skirt counted as a diversity hire. What a con. Rhys is truly sticking it to THE MAN and THE WO-MAN both just by being his naturally privileged self.
