I wasn't serious.

That being said, I'm pressing X to doubt on Ron's horrific child abuse story. The whole thing just reeks of desperation. It's obvious that Toye was trying to paint himself as a traumatized victim to lessen the impact of beating on his wives.

K. Thanks. With recent events just wanted to be sure. Unfortunately we've had a few Kiwis fly too close to the sun as of late.

Love your avatar BTW. The Thing is one of my favorite movies.

Sometimes the only solution to someone who just keeps hitting you is to hit them back harder until they knock it the fuck off.

Texaco essentially no longer exists because of a case tried by legendary Texas trial lawyer Joe Jamail, Pennzoil v. Texaco, featuring a jury verdict over a contract that was at the time the largest jury verdict in history: $10.53 billion.

The contract in question was an oral contract.

People who say there's no such thing pretty much don't know what they're talking about.

Who wants to bet that Ty might cite that case if the director contract was indeed an oral one?

I'm not sure if any of the VAs specifically support cancel culture, but considering what we've seen, combined with the fact that out of all the VAs, the only one that's actually spoken out against cancel culture (that I know of) is the largely silent Juliet "JubyPhonic" Simmons, that's a big red flag right there.

But yeah, imagine some little 8 year old scumfuck brat going "Still fired" in a singsong voice while making faces at you. That's literally what KV is doing with that hashtag.
I figured but it's dumb and gay and pointless and a part of me just wants people to not be so blatantly stupid. Or at least don't shit-talk unless you can bring the fire or some laughs.
I never understood twitter culture and it's weird obsessiveness with needing to be in some sort of group that requires all members to parrot their beliefs for brownie points. It's just so vapid and shallow, much like a lot of KVers opinions.

Well lookey here. Chuck now follows this Yuki guy. Naruhodo (Damn my weeb side). I know we suspect that Chuck is our Funimation mole but I feel like there is someone inside Funi that even closer inside Funi that Nick details. Also I would Ms @Svetlana if the whole Vic was going to be a director was true but I don't even think Vic knew that
Yeah it didnt come up in his deposition.

Of course. In all fairness, it wasn't the most clever way to point out that Ron II and Ron III are Facebook friends. Now, I'm not going to pretend to be an expert on men that had the crap kicked out of them by their biological fathers, but I sure as hell didn't friend mine on Facebook as an adult, nor do I even have contact with him. But Wifebeater-chan is out here writing up glowing Father's Day messages and taking pride in people comparing the two. I regret not taking an archive link of that.

Can't argue with you there. John Carpenter's The Thing is a great movie. Dare I say it, one of the best. Palmer was my top option for replacing Mr. Pink. We all wish we could be the MacReady, but I know the reality is that I'm the Palmer.

Some people never evolved past the need for high school cliques and their opinions needing to be validated by others.

Same here. My father was an abusive individual and I haven't spoken to him in 30 years. Nor do I plan to. Don't know if he is still alive and don't care. It's hard to believe if Toye were abused he would make nice nice with his dad like that.

Carpenter put out some top notch 80s movies, The Fog, They Live, Prince of Darkness., Big Trouble in Little China.

This is a smaller youtuber's new project, but seems he's feeling up to working again

Our brains are hard wired to crave social validation. It literally causes dopamine to hit your system. cocaine works on the same system btw.
That is true and honestly there is nothing wrong with wanting some validation. We get into problem territories when you wish to ruin an innocent persons life for that fix.

They might not even realize it, but these sorts of people are trying to create and enforce a chink-tier social credit system, just without the supporting software, enforced by their social media botnet outrage networks.

They absolutely realize it. They shlick themselves to sleep at night dreaming of people who upset or offend them suddenly being unable to use public transit or buy food.

It's just a general legal principle. Contracts can be oral or written. Outside of some specific kinds of contract in a state's statute of frauds or UCC-based laws, or copyright assignments, or a few others, which require writing to be enforceable, a contract is a contract whatever medium it's in.
