Weeb Wars / AnimeGate / #KickVic / #IStandWithVic / #vickicksback - General Discussion Thread

Eh, I knew from the beginning that Specht was only there to play on the human angle. While her affidavit did nothing to add to the lawsuit itself, it's clear that her really bitter words were just to make Vic feel guilty and tug on the heartstrings of anyone who would listen by making it seem like he was a monster toward her. All she did was come across as some scheming, manipulative bitch and while I don't condone the action of cheating on a spouse or a lover, I certainly don't feel bad for her at all. If anything, Vic just avoided being married to that psychopath.

Also, please remember the crazy/hot ratio chart:

Specht is definitely below the yellow line.

Wait, how beginning is "beginning"? Like, "since the TCPA colony drop" beginning or "since her first lines in WW" beginning? Because if it's the latter, I'll be amazed by how well ladies can sniff out other ladies acting disingenuously...

Also, meh, I'm partial to this breakdown:

Since her affidavit, you mong. The one where she writes a strongly worded paragraph about how much of a meanie Vic and how he'd go out of his way to make her the most miserable broad in existence.

Edit: The point is that her hotness does not equal her level of craziness. Thus, she is not worth pursuing.

I don't know what the fuck he's trying to say. He's literally incoherent

Maybe he actually does have brain damage.

Wishful thinking, but imagine if they actually replaced Schemmel if they do a dubbed version of the Kakarot game with literally any of the old Goku voices. It'd just be the cherry on top of all of this.
As hilarious as that would be, the dubbed version of Kakarot is using the Funi voices.
Still, it’s probably best to prepare for recasts at the rate all this is going. My personal choice would be the Ocean Group especially if the rumors of a Dragon Ball Kai redub are true.

I know we already know this but I think it's good just to repeat is again.

I know hate is a word supposedly used incorrectly many times, but I have seen few people perform as much hate to a single person (especially over the pettiest things like charging for autographs) who they spent 2 decades with. Like what the absolute fuck. I don't understand why they kept giving Vic lines if this disruption was going on.

Anyways, I know Vic isn't the sharpest tool in the shed, but I doubt he didn't have clues to what was going on. Real easy to see where the rumors and misinformation started and were spread from. I doubt this is the first time people have tried to pull something but it is the first time Sabat didn't get what he wanted. Who was Broly? Who was the star of the big DB movie hit? I really want to say that this was the reason to push Vic getting fired but...I feel like it was more conflict with the management. I guess a bunch of bogus rumors was enough to sway certain members to finally cancel him and the spergs in Funi went to work doing a victory dance.

Pretty sure this is the "C" person they were on a tirade about when Monica let slip out Sony did the investigation. Now here's the hilarious thing, that's not the person who has been talking to Nick about stuff I almost guarantee. I don't think Funi was really thinking ahead here. Congratulations, now Sony's lawyers have an official document to read off of and probably the most fun they'll have in a long time to look into.

Does anybody think Season 2 of Weeb Wars might not happen? Like, if. Sabat gets canned from Funimation and the entire company gets screwed over will there even be a point in suing anyone else anymore?

Like those other shows that resolved way too many plot points in one season so either everything ends too quickly or they limp through the next season?

It would most likely depend on what happens within the statute of limitations for the lawsuit. Sabat is almost a guarantee that he'll be added, with Schemmel being a possibility depending on his involvement. It's not about getting every person who ever said anything, just the ones who caused the most damage.

Most likely I see Funimation cutting ties with Sabat's studio and he'll be in direct competition with them, Funi will lose the DBZ license, Sabat's cohorts will migrate to work for Okratron and Funi will either gradually heal after culling their staff and reviewing their own policies, possibly with Sony being more involved and enforcing said polices more.

And Vic..I actually don't know what he'll do. I hope that once his rep is fixed and people see that he was wronged, that he'll get a lot of poeple reaching out to him to do business. I guess I just wish for his future success, no matter what he decides to do.

Does that mean Manjaw might see court?
