I think RT is about to take another L. And to think they were the most professional in all of this. Although, since I don’t know law, can they be fucked if they fired Vic because of Sabat’s alleged influence?

Depends on his specific influence. If he lied to them in order to get them to break their contract, that's him (maybe) committing a tort, not them. If he threatened them, again, that's him doing the unlawful act. If he asked them nicely? Maybe, but still, there's little to no actual damages there, and you generally don't get punitive damages on breach of contract. In fact, I'm not sure if you can get punitive damages at all for breach of contract in Texas. And, of course, there's still the strong likelihood that they never breached a contract at all, so obviously no damage there either.

Frankly, Sabat using his influence to get RT to fire Vic is more likely to fuck Sabat than RT.

Way back in the early days of this thread, I made a statement that this situation wouldn’t be enough to put Funi out of business. But after all of the stuff that’s come out this week, I can safely say that the end is near for this company.

I like the rule of 3s. We need 1 more.

A woman coming forward claiming Sabat refused her work when she refused to blow him would do nicely.

It's actually pretty amazing the complete lack of awareness this post has on the case. Nick was covering stuff separate from the lawsuit because because that info was dumped on his lap by others, i.e. Joseph and his Funi source. Nick usually takes weekends off and may have shit to do raising his family or simply wants a break from everything he has covered before we enter the final countdown to the TCPA hearings. When they happen, they absolutely will matter.
The casually stated assumption of the hearing dismissing the case for most targets being the probable outcome is also odd to read. One would think by this point that even those on the other side would have processed that the odds are very much against Monica, Jamie, Funi, and Sheepdog. Even though there is a chance always, the nonchalant assumption shows a gaping disconnect here in their info.

Finally, I must levy a criticism for our. I applaud the optimism of those who say that just by doing what he has that Vic has already saved his career or his reputation. That just by having the info out there he has in some way won. Allow me to disagree, every article written by people observing the case in any mainstream outlet has even recently being anti-Vic. Most "respectable" talking heads have come out against him. And those fighting for him are not exactly the most readily clean bunch. A drunken lawyer who can be dismissed in many's eyes with a single stupid #blackfacelawyer, a lawfirm that has worked for the NRA, grifting youtubers, and KiwiFarms. Meanwhile they have all the real institutional power, the (to normies) trustworthy sources, the aid of a pertinent cultural narrative, and despite how stupid the idea is, Vic is #stillfired. We may have facts, but even with how much they have been sullied, they still will be the default regardless simply because thats the society we live in, look at how quickly even supposidly rational people were swept up in the Kavanaugh nonsense. The guy in the medium article said he came to their side thanks to Douchette for Christ sake, even the constant dunking on him, while valid, will not refute them in the eyes of a die hard or a normie outsider, who would read the medium article and likely go with that.

As hard as it may be to achieve, the only real path back to meaningful and lasting normalcy and fixing the industry and culture will be a complete victory in the law courts. With Vic vindicated, and the fact that they all lied public for all to see, and for everyone involved to be beat over the head with a judgement. And even that may not be enough. The rot goes deep, the animation industry is situated in very liberal cities, so it may not be enough even if Funi goes down in flames. It may not be possible at all. But the idea that all it would take is just to put the facts out there to score a win is optimistic to the point of naivete, that people will just look at the facts and see the truth absent a legal ruling.

The perfect cherry on top would be if the supporting evidence for Chuck’s claims were dropped, and Sabat gets arrested Weinstein-style on exactly the same charges that everybody levied on Vic. That would make it pretty incontrovertible as to who the real monster is, and make it pretty clear to any normies watching that Vic was to be the patsy for Sabat’s actions.

Now the chances of that actually happening are impossible to predict from this distance, but as more evidence comes out this may turn out to be a legitimate possibility.

Oh yeah, and also,
Chris “It puts the sacred ointment on my skin if it wants the role again” Sabat
