Horrorcow Zoe Quinn / Chelsea Van Valkenburg / Locke Valentine / @UnburntWitch / @Primeape / CrashOverride / Hat Box / Old Uncle Anime - Con Artist, Abuser, Sexual Harasser, Drove Alec Holowka to Suicide.

I am not saying Zoey has any culpability in this death, I am just gonna point out that Canada has gone really, really hard at Americans they "feel" are responsible for Canadians necking themselves. It'd honestly be quite funny if this becomes an identity thing in Canada, and a national indignity, with every Canadian decrying Zoey's past and responsibility for this 🍁's death.
She probably deleted her twitter and headed to Mexico so Trump can't extradite her.

This asshole on Resetera tried to DFE to escape his comments (original post was here https://www.resetera.com/threads/al...-staff-posts-threadmarks.137449/post-23962878)

But NeoGAF, yes, NeoGAF beat the Farms to the unveiling

Just compare that GAF topic to pre-Resetera GAF

:story:

A GameSpot moderator and "journalist" being two faced. Imagine my shock.

I would usually put this in the NeoGAF/Resetera topic, but I know many of you will have seen that "I hope he gets what's coming" comment.

The thing I really do wonder the most is if any of these sexual acts were legitimate.

Oh my. That's a genuine surprise to see people on NeoGaf turning the tables like that.

Has GAF improved since the sundering of the faggots and SJWs there?

Alec killing himself was a fucking tragedy. But do you know what was just as bad? Him being surrounded by "friends" that, rather than take his side, immediately threw him under the bus so they wouldn't be caught in the crossfire. A family that wouldn't stand up for him and publicly condemned him as guilty. All while a legion of shrieking autists called for his head and demanded he kill himself (go look at the ResetERA thread if you want to see that shit in real time), and all without so much as a scrap of evidence was dropped beyond a few anecdotes.

For all I know, he was completely innocent. If I'm wrong about that and there's evidence on that one, please, correct me, I'm not too proud to admit that's a possibility. What I do know is that between the offensives he was facing down and whatever went on in his own life, Alec found something he decided he couldn't live with.

I will reiterate what I said: While she is absolutely culpable, and fully deserves any and all contempt one can leverage, Quinn did not kill this man. She merely gave the word and the outrage mob, Alec's own friends, and Alec himself did the rest.
If you push a man out of a ladder and he falls and breaks his neck who killed him?
Gravity, his dumbass for not learning how to fall or you

That technically counts, as it's similar to a person hiring out a hitman to assassinate someone or telling an executioner to bring them their head.

Yes, they're technically not responsible, but at the same time, they pulled the trigger.

She knew he had serious mental issues and was struggling with depression.

She knew there’d be consequences. That he’d risk harassment and losing his career.

She should have known it could push him over the edge.

She just didn’t care. Zoe Quinn wanted to get back in the spotlight, and didn’t want some random whore to out-metoo her.

That makes her guilty in my book.

No, it does not.
I do think she is morally responsible, to some degree, but she didn't try to assassinate him, asked people to go kill him, or manipulated him into killing himself (like Michelle Carter with her boyfriend, for example).
She technically didn't even encourage people to go harass him.
She made a post about him on social media. He killed himself.

If being a cunt on the internet was the same as hiring someone to kill a person, we'd all be in jail.

Yeah, that's definitely what I mean. It'd be even more on the nose if she just outright told her followers "kill him."

This is great. Unreleted to Quinn, but Alec's 'closest friend for the past 12 months' (female) metoo'd him for being controlling after he didn't respond to her questioning him about Quinn's metoo. She assumed he was not responding in bad faith and wrote a screed against him, throwing him under the bus.. lmao

For anyone interested, it was @littlebluerobot. My guess is that she deleted it, but I can't say for sure.

She did this the day before he killed himself. The 'person he had spent the most time with this past 12 months' thew him under the bus, kicked him when he was down. Was it the straw that broke the camel's back? Let's hope she's asking herself that.

In some sense I think about the men in the SJW sphere that buckle under the pressure rather than fight back, of having a thought process something like "oh shit! They found out I'm male after all and I have male guilt!"

Like that they genuinely believe they're guilty by default.

What a shitshow. The 5th anniversary of GG sure didn't disappoint.
Shame he offed himself instead of going low for a while and eventually debunking the toxic bitch like Jared did.
Well he is mentally ill. So of course he would do something pretty irrational like an heroing himself.

If Zoe Quinn can't even get cancelled after Crash Override, where she constantly mistreated everyone who reached out for help and avoided paying her employees (many of whom where LGBT, who are supposed to be near the top of the minority totem pole), then what could possibly do her in? Someone like her can only go out by fucking up so spectacularly that nothing can possibly excuse it (such as against a minor or against a sexual/racial minority), but every time she does it gets memory holed. Most Gamergate origin stories don't even mention the fact that she cheated on her ex boyfriend with over five other guys and was emotionally manipulative about it. If someone #MeToo'd her and said that she offered her world-renowned sexual favors in return for career advancement, that too would likely get immediately dismissed.

If anyone remembers that "Toxic Drama of YA Twitter" article from two years ago, the author, Kat Rosenfield, made some tweets that may or may not be about the suicide:

"Has social media completely killed the expectation of being able to make horrible but typical missteps in one’s personal life without it becoming a public scandal years down the line, and if so, what will this do to our relationships

“Just don’t be a terrible person”: a popular rejoinder that doesn’t do enough to account for the immense amount of stumbling and fucking up even good and well-intentioned people do when they’re figuring out intimacy

Teens used to ask me how to do intimacy without getting hurt & I’d explain that hurt was unavoidable— as was hurting other people, because it’s just what happens. Not sure that advice works if young folks have to expect an eventual public trial for harms caused
