Do we know who this loon is and whether they are actually involved in anything like they claim to be? I don't see any mentions of her twitter handle before today.

If that shit got leaked before it would of been on the net ages ago with parody & memes like it is now and there was no apology from them either.

Exactly and if this was leaked before Funimation would have day 1 said that the problem was already took care of back when these were first leaked. They wouldn't be staying silent on this if it was already took care of.

I've been thinking and looking up on the internet for info about Sony's purchase of Funimation and the motive.
The only thing I can take about the purchase of Funimation was that it had been done so that Sony could have a company to make English dubs for the Southeast Asian Animax channels to reduce the need to contract third-parties for English voice work near as much.
There is Aniplex of America, but that's Sony Music Japan and they depended on third-party work (until recently). Funimation has an in-house studio, which leads me to believe that Sony bought Funimation out solely for the voice studio alone, the acting crew just made it a "package deal".
"Around the world, Sony's networks have been major players in the anime space for nearly two decades, and in more recent years we have rapidly increased our networks' over-the-top and digital offerings to consumers. With the acquisition of Funimation, the combined IP of ANIMAX, KIDS STATION and Funimation allows us to deliver the best anime to fans across all screens and platforms."

I think the main purpose behind it was Funimation's experience and infrastructure for digital streaming of anime, the connections with cable networks for broadcasting, and the tools to quickly translate and record dubbed anime. The voice talent, if it was a factor at all, was way down on the list.

It was pretty stupid to use the word "blacklist." It is a legal term that refers to an illegal action that is a crime or a civil tort in many jurisdictions.

I mean, even before that, it's extremely stupid to say "I'm not going to invite this person to the con I staff anymore" not because he's a sexual predator or anything of the sort, but because he talked about relevant observations and conversations in a sworn declaration.

Not even because of any supposed falsities, but just the fact that he submitted such a statement.

Also I want to point on this seemingly useless bit of info.
In Chuck's affidavit, he mentions that Sabat both refers to Vic as "gay" and "liking little girls" in the same sentence.
I don't know how someone can be gay and "like little girls", that makes no fucking sense.

Not to mention some VERY vindictive people can ensure any con she plans to be a staff at would get this information to show what kind of person she is.

uh oh.. whats this

does christopher sabat have power and influence over the people at rooster teeth.

man wouldnt it be a shocker if it came out vic was fired from rooster teeth because of chris sabat intimidating rooster teeth just like he did with kamehacon

The Rooster Teeth stuff is what I am here for! I want to know what happened! But we had to nuke Funimation to get there. Which was cool I admit.

Once discovery starts the whole damn thing will start coming together.

That was my first thought. You don't go out and explicitly say you're going to do something possibly illegal, in public, in front of people that could tell your bosses you intend to do it. Even if you're hyperbolic, it's just plain stupid.

The beauty of how it was played out is that as long as Chuck listens carefully to his legal advisors (I think he is being consulted by the BHBH), he is in fact untouchable. Well, for smart people.
His testimony to the court cannot be a basis for any negative action on his part by his employer. Unlike, for example, an interview with a media outlet. As long as he talks about all the background information of Funimation and others under oath, they can't do anything to him. More precisely, they can, but they will regret it very much.

Dominique......what the hell does that have to do with anything
It has nothing to do with anything. She's just slandering him because he's spoken out against her toxic little circle jerk and now her and the rest of her ilk are trying to take it upon themselves to also ruin him.
You know the same fucking shit that Monica, Ron, and Jamie got sued for.

Luckily I am meeting Chuck in 3 weeks I'll buy him lunch at the con I am helping run as a personal congrats on everyone's behalf.
Oh shit that's cool as fuck! Gotta fill us in if there's any conversations about what has been going on!

I guess this is why Chris Sabat thought it was so important for there to be more female characters and saiyans in dragon ball.
Maybe. Depends on whether they're being cast with new actors or existing actors. If existing actors, then it's just him rewarding his friends/lackeys. Remember that these large series with reoccurring characters means relatively steady work for the VAs cast in those roles.

On a related note, people should probably be questioning "What series other than Dragon Ball?" when talking about Sabat. Yeah that's a big one, and one he's had a long standing personal interest in. However he's said to have large amount of casting control at Funimation in general, not just for Dragon Ball. So how much control does he have over the casting for Fairy Tail for example? A series with 300+ episodes and a massive cast list that has definitely seen the addition of a number of newer actors and actresses over the years. Or One Piece which has over 900 episodes, and an even more massive cast list. If he controlled casting for them, you can go through their cast lists, find actresses in their 20s, 30s, or even early 40s, who started at Funimation (or even voice acting in general) in the last 5-10 years, and ask yourself "Did they have to go through Sabat to get the part?"
