At this point, I'm not sure whether or not April should be pitied or if she's part of the problem and a huge enabler of Spoony's bad habits.
He's her project, she can change that tortured soul uguu

I do wonder if that helped him without him knowing it.I feel like Noah would NEVER move in with Miles again because he knows if he did Miles wouldn't be the fun "oh dont worry youll be fine" type sibling, he'd probably beat Noahs ass until he got a job. Noah knows this and thats why hes afraid to go back, not cause of Miles, but the work he will bring.
Or maybe Miles did what most of Noah's fans have already done - given up on him. You can't help where no one is asking you to.I also would put money on miles not taking his shit. I don't think he would mean or aggressive or start shit, but I bet he was very willing to call out spoony if he was acting like an asshole.
Are they still together? Sounds like he's festering alone in his own filth.
It's definitely the latter. At this point, I'm not sure whether or not April should be pitied or if she's part of the problem and a huge enabler of Spoony's bad habits.
My guess is that he thinks these shitty twitter memes are just as good as him making a well produced review or a clever joke. After over a year and a half, Noah has returned to the Persona series and has spent the last two days tweeting profusely about Persona 3, 4, 5 and their anime (these are just a handful of the first tweets):

He's also created a new shitty hashtag for the first time in (I think) years:

He's already made about ten and is churning out more by the hour.
I was thinking about it and if Noah got his shit together (now here me out) and reviewed an easy target like Tek War.
It could pave the way for a redemption arc. If he was smart of course which we know he isn't.
It's almost like the same stimuli gives a diminishing return on that dopamine rush or somethingAfter a day of silence following that last self-pitying tweet, Noah spent last night complaining about bad dreams (again) and lamenting that Twitter doesn't give him the same dopamine fix anymore:
Spergs, likely some of them are getting actual tugboats and giving away taxpayer money to these NEETSwho is giving these people all this NEET welfare
Spergs, likely some of them are getting actual tugboats and giving away taxpayer money to these NEETS
The problem with this IMO is that he was once at the cutting edge (to put it melodramatically) of making good/exposé content on these types of games, to an audience of whom many did not know much about them beyond their name/reputation, or if they did play, didn't dive in as deeply and over-analyse it like the content creator did. Nowadays you're competing against relevant creators who have years of back-content in the same types of games, who are ahead in the algorithm and are improving with every video. Finding a bad game to turn into a meme is almost impossible nowadays and undermines some of the cult following that the first generation developed. Even if they did it anyway, the excitement would be gone because a casual treatment of a subject based purely on enthusiasm/over-investment is hard to maintain, sort of how low-energy AVGN became, but Spoony will suffer more because he was always more edgy and I don't think can turn on his mature/dad side and develop his persona like James has.I was thinking about it and if Noah got his shit together (now here me out) and reviewed an easy target like Tek War.

This is something I too neglect to think about, Spoony is 39 closing in on 40. That isn't exactly a spring chicken in this days internet couple that with as you said now younger and frankly more tech savy reviewers, Spoony would be fighting an uphill battle. Even if Spoony brings back his old self and spits fire like he used to if not better, most people won't care because his videos are stuck in an era we have long since left behind. I said before if he picked himself up, sat down, and worked his ass off to re build what he had, he might have a shot, but at this point he will never be as big, plus many games franchises he is known for have basically been picked up by other reviews, he has nothing, hes starting from square one. I think that plays into his anxiety in a way, he knows hes a relic, he's not current or up to date with how youtube or any site operates anymore,so I fear that even if he did by some miracle of god come back, the only ones who would notice would be us, he doesn't have his site, his subs are basically dead, he no longer has the backing of Channel Awesome, he's burnt every bridge he has, and the only thing he has left is a girl friend who I feel more and more would rather be anywhere but there, and a dog.The problem with this IMO is that he was once at the cutting edge (to put it melodramatically) of making good/exposé content on these types of games, to an audience of whom many did not know much about them beyond their name/reputation, or if they did play, didn't dive in as deeply and over-analyse it like the content creator did. You know, I remember hearing that Spoony HATES editing his videos and that became harder and harder for him to do.
A shame. At 5,000 bucks a month, he probably could have paid someone to do the editing for him or maybe even build a solid infrastructure around himself to take care of the things he isn't a fan of doing. Oh well.
Again, if he didn't have his head up his ass, he could have figured some of this stuff out.
That is susprising, thanks for elaborating on it - I would have assumed Spoony to be one of those many Angry Joe/Yandere Dev-type people who are so precious that only they can do true justice to the inner-workings their content, and hiring others would be creative suicide and kill the magic of their creation (or some such nonsense). He actually tried to hire a video editor in 2010 but gave up because of the cumbersome physical logistics that would've been required since he had no means of remotely sharing countless gigs of footage. I'm sure it'd be trivial today, but it's interesting to note that he did try.
Watch his last Reb Brown movie review. Even most of his jokes were reused from previous years. Hell, even his Final Fantasy 13 video looked like he forgot how he was making his reviews about other installments, watched his own videos and came to conclusion that he was simply nitpicking and swearing and somehow it was fun. Most of his later videos didn't need any editing ... or scripts ... or rehearsals
Remember when Counter Monkey started turning into a mess where Spoon-Spoon would faf about with books for a good part of the video, or constantly go on irrelevant tangents ?
He could have been a much better D&D 'story teller' with a bit more effort and preparation.
