Victor Mignogna v. Funimation Productions, LLC, et al. (2019) - Vic's lawsuit against Funimation, VAs, and others, for over a million dollars.

His answer is insufficient. There's no excuse for it being sloppy. There are a lot of eyes on his filings. It would behoove him to make sure they are on point.

Based on Ty's response, he left it up to one of the underlings to do and they goofed it, he's taking ownership cause he didn't proof it before he filed (which is on him 100%)

Not able to watch the stream, but was the 'sloppy' thing in response to the filing overall, the notary thing, or both? Not saying it's acceptable, but i could understand sloppy in regard to the overall filing. Not for fraud, though.
All of the above, he's taking responsibility for it coming out as shoddy as it did.

So apparently, the rumor going around is that one of the people who've been in touch with Huber about all this is Stephanie Nadolny who played Kid Gohan from Saiyan Saga (the beginning of Z) to the end of Cell Saga as Teen Gohan, as well as Kid Goku, and Goku in GT. For anime, it lines up well, as she voiced Gohan and Kid/GT Goku up to 2009 at least in video games. To clarify something, Video Game dubbers usually don't get the same studios, etc. for dubbing the property that another one does. Your best bit of proof is with one of, if not, the WORST video game from Dragon Ball, GT Final Bout which has loads of.... not the usual people voicing these characters.

There is a rumor that Chris Sabat was asked why he let her go and his reason was because she had too many DUI's.....

Nick's reading Lemoine's complaint now. The reasons for the affidavits situation have not yet been given.
Ty commented on the TCPA "deadline" motion as a whole.

Some one in the other thread mentioned Remote Notarization's are allowed in quite a few States in the US including texas
Can one of the law guys confirm ?

I saw this brought up in some thread, on some page.

If I remember right, Texas does allow remote notarizing, but you need a special license/commission to perform it, and Ty does not have it.

I don’t care about sloppy filings tbh.

The only thing that concerns me is the false representation of the notarization.

That’s not lazy or sloppy, that’s deceitful and it will be remembered. This was a insightful moment for Ty’s character, I still care far more about the work product.

Hopefully things go smooth from here, I believe in Vic’s case right now and wish him the best.

So far, Nick's laying out the arguments I've been making here.
Fraud requires motive. It's a criminal charge, it's harder to prove. Mistake is not a fraud.

So far, just comments on Lemoine. What's with the notary certification Nick doesn't say. He promises to come to this later.
But I don't think he's gonna say until September 6th. Most likely, he will just summarize the results.

Also the jurats don't indicate any such thing happened.

You also have to gain something from it. There's no particular advantage to having sworn notarized affidavits over simply submitting unsworn declarations (which while being called that are actually made under penalty of perjury). I'm not pleased with it but it may not have any negative impact.

Yes that was what I was referring to. Apparently that wasn't clear. I don't care that the filing was sloppy. The notarization concerns me.

That was me. Texas has an Online Notary option, which lets you take remote notarization via audio/visual teleconference. But you have to be a regular notary first, then apply specifically to get the Online Commission. And Ty does not have that additional Online Commission.

Wait... so you apparently can get an online notary? Is it still possible for TY to obtain that online notary before submission?

Not unless someone from GamerGate loans him the time machine, no.

Plus, it's a moot point. He withdrew the affidavits. They do not exist. Lemonfurher is desperate and hoping he can bullshit the judge.

Now that Nick's chewed up some more.
They saw the affidavits and realized they will lose TCPA.
On August 31, they suddenly found a formal claim to form.
Ty parried it completely within the rules using second amended. And they had already spent a lot of energy and hours on the complaint. And in any case, they have no other cards on their hands.
That's why they said, whatever, we're going to attack it anyway. Maybe we'll be lucky and it will roll.

He also still hasn't proven they were even actually fraudulent in the first place.
