Weeb Wars / AnimeGate / #KickVic / #IStandWithVic / #vickicksback - General Discussion Thread

Oh my god I'm dying so hard. So even Greg accepts Monica might lose the TCPA. Not sure if Greg is trying to be funny or a little bit of backpedaling. The hearing decisions are going to be fun. Just remember that even the most unbelievable judge decision completely dismissing the case will have cows on ISWV going absolute ham and the war will carry on for another month or so. That would also give Nick a great show on what they could do next and explain it. So ultimately no matter what we kind of win due to the sheer reeing that'll happen.
Doesn't matter who wins the case, because both sides will keep reeing no matter what. Funi will because a # that has people reeing for years to come about the case.

Be prepared for the goal post to change.

My name is Low T. Greg Doucette and I'm a victim of Vic Mignogna. 20 years ago or possibly 12, but maybe 3 years ago, Mr. Mignogna came into my house at night, poured a whole bottle of nair on my head, farted in my CPAP machine, and slept with me AND my wife. I have been too scared to come forward on this heinous act that he committed on me until now. I am suing Vic Mignogna for the cost of a replacement CPAP and a nice wig.

What's interesting to me is that they chose Marchi over Sabat for the first round. Did they not know much about his involvement? Rekieta's streams seemed to suggest he's been in the crosshairs since before the lawsuit was filed.

Sabat is less public and less vocal then Marchi so compiling evidence against him would take time and a bit of fire to suss out. Like Nadolny's revealing of Sabat's casting couch is huge but she still hasn't contacted any party about it yet.
It's mostly just playing it safe and proving there's substance there.

As much as I hate Marchi and would love to see her TCPA fail, I can honestly see it winning. I do think Chris was probably the smarter choice to go for first (but that's probably knowing what everyone knows now about Sabat saying that) unless Ty has some silver bullet against Marchi that I'm completely unaware of.

Sabat was not targeted in round 1 as a strategic move by Ty. He did not have sufficient evidence against Sabat but he knew who did. Notice the people he's targeted in Round 1:

Funimation: who have given Sabat alot of power due to his okratron studio

Monica and Toye: They were actively implicated in getting Vic banned from cons. We have evidence of that much thanks to Slatosh.

Jamie: The sassy mouthpiece who was supposed to deflect all of Monica's detractors and direct a mob of hate towards Vic that would eventually lead to him killing himself.

Their words were what really kicked this off due to them signal boosting Marzgurl and then coming forward with their own stories. Ty was hoping to get atleast one of them to settle, part of that settlement would've been info against Sabat who is suspected of orchestrating everything due to Vic possibly becoming a director which would've have put his position at Funi at a slight disadvantage. However, just as the docs were filed, Ty got something to nail 'Iago' however, it was the public actions of the 4 chosen in round 1 that caused the most damage to Vic, so he kept it as such.

Should vic win, he's going to need as much money as possible to go after Chris who has kept his hands relatively clean. Think about it, besides a text of him saying ISWV fans are autistic and Chuck's affidavit, there is hardly any evidence against Chris doing anything to damage Vic's reputation.

If we lose, it's not the end.

To juxtapose, the avengers lost in infinity war...

Interesting. Here's the guy's profile from his firm's website (link):

An Lee Hsu is a founding shareholder of Martinez Hsu, P.C. and a graduate of Texas Tech School of Law. An Lee Hsu manages the corporate transactional practice at Martinez Hsu—namely, corporate structuring, corporate mergers and buyouts, oil and gas related matters, international and domestic contracts, and regulated asset purchases, including Class 3 Firearms and accessories, NFA trusts, ITAR regulated items, ammunition manufacturing, and other licenses regarding regulated manufacturing and purchases. An Lee’s practice also entails working closely with many firearms and ammunition manufacturers, retailers, and resellers regarding compliance, contracts, laws and regulations of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms, and U.S. Customs regulations concerning the same.

An Lee also handles a variety of large business projects, including real estate, structuring of EB-5 Immigration projects, and the sale of securities. In doing so, An Lee works closely with business owners and their businesses—whether small or large, established or new—to customize a plan for each specific business.

In addition to An Lee’s corporate practice, he is also heavily involved in family law matters with issues ranging from divorce, child conservatorship, and child support to issues concerning CPS, APS and/or DFPS. His practice involves enforcement of divorce decrees, child support and visitation and other matters associated with parental rights. He prides himself on providing one-on-one support and consultation for every client’s individual needs.

He doesn't seem to be specialized in anything that seems particularly relevant (I could be wrong on this though since I'm just basing it on his website profile) to this, so my take is that BHBH might be bringing on another attorney in anticipation of round 2 starting. Ty did say that the last filing was sloppy so it may just be a case of needing more resources, especially if more people are going to get dragged in soon. He's a founder of the firm though, so he's not just some nobody.

I'm sure Nick will comment on this eventually and he'll probably have some insider knowledge of everything.

There won't be any losing tomorrow as judgement for the TCPAs will come later on, not tomorrow. If the case gets thrown out, yes. But that's unlikely.

Wait, TCPA results don't come out tomorrow? Then what does? And when do the TCPA results come out then?

You know Greg won't even flinch if the TCPAs are all dismissed. He's not interested in being right, it's just a propaganda war for him.
Greg is meaningless. He's a weak, flaccid man whose head is a replica of his character. 100 years ago, his mother would have sold him to a circus or head shot him as a mercy.

Tomorrow, the parties will argue. The judge will probably take a month to decide how to proceed. The sun will rise and, in the afternoon, it will set. The heat will fall off as we approach autumn.

Anxiety has no place here. We're confident Ty did the best job possible and our thorough research revealed the true nature of these psychos. Should disaster prevail, we know we stood in the name of honesty, virtue and fair dealings, while they must persist in the shameful disgrace of their being.

The decision will be what it will be. We did our part, all that's left is to wait with hopeful optimism.

Proud of all you Kiwis.

JFC, Weeb Wars. Can we just have ONE day where new shit doesn't happen!?

Hope they're caught up on the case so far. If they go for another continuance, I am going to have just the bluest of balls.

(Meanwhile, Meyer v. Waid is forever stuck in the Molasses Swamp of personal jurisdiction.)

I think Jamie and her lawyer are being way too cocky. The language in their statements in itself is defamatory. Comparing him to Epstein/Weinstein in an official document among other things was the dumbest move he could have made.

The only thing dumber would've been comparing him to the one polygamist cultist dude who got tried and convicted in Texas, because that would've got someone to chimp out even more than the previously mentioned names.

I think Jamie fucked herself by being so aggressively confident that *her truth* can't be refuted to the point of gloating and will likely bring that attitude right into the courtroom and get knocked down a few rungs.
