She's going to give herself an aneurysm now that she's dipped her toes into the ocean of reality.

I've said it before but Greenlight, no matter the outcome, is the absolute worst thing to happen to Wu.
If it doesn't get greenlit she will turn into a screaming monster
If it does get greenlit, she will see people pirating it, ripping models to make porn, buying it on sale just to write awful reviews, and people archiving said reviews to complain that she's censoring valuable player reactions which will turn her into a screaming monster

God this is amazing.
She's not a screaming monster already?

100 yards is nothing. The Commander can hit a one inch diameter target at a range of 200 yards with his Deagle provided he is sufficiently blazed to steady his aim. The US Marine SEALs didn't send the man to sniper school for nothing.
Hope you don't mind, but us good folks at ED had add this to jace's article. Your beautiful words have been immortalized.

You know, this whole Revolution 60 slow-motion trainwreck is really fascinating. I bet a lot of us wanted to be a "Game Maker" as kids, and grow up to just tell people how to make cool games without doing anything specific. Turns out, if your parents' bank balance starts with an infinity sign, it's actually possible. It's like if Chris Chandler's parents were rich enough to buy him a real abandoned town to be mayor of - with similar results.

"New Gamers" want to play something called a "visual novel". That's where you care more about the story than actually playing anything.

It's probably not even worth asking this question but does she (or anyone) even have a working definition of "new gamer"? Is she talking about the relatively new market of people who like to play short bursts of iPhone games while commuting to work? Because quite frankly that class of gamers is not interested in story either. They just want something colourful that will hold their interest for a few minutes while they wait in line for their soy bean latte.

I think "new gamer" is the term being tossed around to describe this mythical Ubermenschian being that has transcended our flawed, toxic, male-tainted idea of gaming and is exploring this brave, new frontier of QTEs and shoddy self-inserts that is Revolution 60. We cannot hope to understand the glory of Brianna Wu's magnum opus because we are still shackled to the dogma of old gaming.

Also, why is she babbling about controllers and buttons? Isn't one of her most-played games Civilization V? Pretty sure there's a lot of control prompts for that game (unless you play like shit).

All Brianna's doing is advertising herself as the World's Biggest Professional Victim. She is not doing her company any favors at all.
Could you imagine being one of her employees trying to work on your actual game while your boss is sitting on Twitter shrieking in terror while watching a

Questions: Have any of the Telltale games outsold the latest COD or Madden? And Isn't the fastest growing demographic of games story-less phone games? I'm just confused as to where Wu is getting their information. Also I want PC gamers to play my game because we all know PC gamers don't care about graphics.
Also I predict that future games will be about two hours of story and you will only have to press one button (called the play button) at the beginning to start the game.

The best thing is that tons of people on Steam are giving her legitimate criticism and asking her questions and all she's doing is ducking to avoid it while whining about misogyny on Twitter. She even has the audacity to insult them, claiming that they're "old gamers" who are stagnating the industry with their unsophisticated and boring tastes and that her game isn't even meant for them. Despite her, you know, begging them to greenlight her game.

She's damaging her reputation and credibility so much right now (not that we ever respected her; I'm talking about the idiots who follow her) and she's not even aware of it. She's happy with turning tons of people against her, her company, and her product if it means she can cry about her crusade on Twitter. Honestly, I'm amazed that the other members of her development team haven't spoken up about this. Obviously Frank Wu's been whipped into submission by Brianna (considering that he doesn't make a peep about his lack of credit for creating the game), but you would think that the other SpaceKat devs would want to tell Brianna to shut the fuck up and stop damaging their company's reputation by acting like a preteen on Twitter and Steam.

Your questions and Brianna's mental breakdown lead me to ask a pretty simple question that I don't think was asked once in the development of Revolution 60: who is the target audience for this game? According to Brianna, it's not meant for "old gamers" or whatever the hell that means so I guess that eliminates anyone who plays video games through the traditional platforms like consoles and Steam (which raises an additional question as to why she would want it on Steam if it isn't meant for that player base, but I digress). Judging from her cries of misogyny and other issues with men in general, I almost have to conclude that this isn't meant for males either which eliminates another large potential audience. Women who have seen the character designs find them off-putting, ridiculous, or even sexist so that's another hit. Who is left for the game to appeal to? This is a game designed specifically to appeal to the fantasies of Brianna Wu. The world of Revolution 60 is basically her CWCville, a fantasy that she can escape to where she's a tough, sexy, feminine assassin who runs around with other tough, sexy, feminine assassin chicks and gets a cool motorbike and is pretty much the deciding factor in the fate of the galaxy. I've seen fanfics that are more subtle with their self-inserts than Wu is with her expy, Holiday.

See, I don't even have an issue with people making "games" like this, it's a niche market that caters to certain people that needs to be filled by someone. Brianna and Zoe Quinn are filling this niche which is cool but to get their cronies to hype it up and make blatant exaggerations about these games (i.e. depression quest and gone home are the best games of the year) and try to speak for the gaming industry (gamers are dead and nobody wants to play gta and CoD anymore) is what grinds my gears.

Well wasn't it revealed that the other devs were just devs for hire who worked on the game and that was it? Like, it's not really a company, she just hired some pickup devs to do the work for her that she was either too lazy or incompetent to do. So if that's the case, I imagine they don't really care about her company's image, they've probably dissociated with her long ago after their job was done.

For me it's the 'we represent the sane rational people and anyone who disagrees is a nasty bad person who is racist/sexist/a peado/a stalker/etc fucking etc' that makes me see red, it pisses me off that as a female gamer these bitches claim to represent what I want and what I actually want is for my gender to have fuck all to do with the games I play. But of course if I say that I'm a 'sister hater' or something equally stupid.

Edit: just realised that was more GG related than about this specific bitch so I'll add that I am so glad her game is flopping right now, quality over quantity regardless of any external factor, that won't change no matter how much she complains and I loooove it .

Here is my thing on this. Let me get this out of the way first. Same opinion as depression quest. I have no problem with it being on steam. I wouldn't play it myself, as it's not my sort of thing (predefined characters. I'm going out on a limb and saying definitive ending. Monolith story driven gameplay, etc. Elder Scrolls has long been my top game series because I can blow off the main quest and be a fucking lizard man who lives in the swamp hunting) but I don't object to it being on steam. Why? Because steam has pleanty of eh games on it already. The first time I saw a game that was forced upon me via pop up ads, I knew it wasn't some golden bastion that only welcomed the best of the best. Does it deserve to pass greenlight? Democracy will decide, but if she bought a spot on steam or something, whatever. Now, it doenst look as bad as people make it out to be. I see the word "unforgivable" far too often. I'd use "eh." Far more myself. But here is my big thing. I don't get who the target audience is. She says it's not for "new gamers" who prize story and such. But... The gameplay looks too tedious for that. I fucking love Dear Esther and is blow a fuse if it had some sort of "now highlight this circle to open that door" system. Screw that, let me open the door and see what's on the other side. I dunno, man.
