You are right, but those were specific claims of false things. The claims are also not being taken to task for tortious interference. Alec is no longer alive, so he cannot sue for what Vic sued for and you can't defame the dead cause they are dead.
Re-read Zoes post. It doesn't meet a thresh hold for sexual abuse. It barely meets the threshold for regular abuse, but it all seems like shitty bad relationship stuff. By Zoes own words she's twisting the definition of abuse and sexual abuse.

Why not find another line of work? The skills in making a video game should translate pretty well in other fields, and lord knows defense contractors and gov jobs are nice gigs.

"Indie game dev skill" is basically "journalism skill" trier, i.e. a purely social clout thing that's useless outside of that incestuous circle. If you talk about programming with gov jobs, real computer science people laugh at them and if you knew how bad many of them are, you'd know how bad that is. All this indie game dev stuff with todays tools can be (and is sometimes done) by literal 14 year olds. No skill necessary. It's interesting because it's the complete inverse to what programming in regards to games used to be. In the 90s you had to be a pretty clever programmer to get that little bit extra out of the machine and make it do these things with acceptable performance. Todays developers in comparsion are a joke. They often don't even know basics.

Of course not all of them are like that and there are some very talented people, but most of them are like that. Else that industry wouldn't be what it is now.

Thanks to @Vesperus cat's uncanny ability to paw-type hashes I managed to give NiTW a go. (It runs in WINE, btw)

I have to give it to the guy, the music and the art direction is very good. Lots of tiny details and interaction. The game feels snappy and well put together. Not my cup of tea because the self-involved first-year film student script, but from mechanical and audio/visual standpoint the game is head and shoulders above your standard indie dreck.

Clearly the guy, still young, could produce something great in the future. Hate when promising people go 6ft under over some bullshit.
