I don't think you could get Steph to understand the word "sacrifice" if you tried. We are talking about the person who put an ad out to find a roommate who would be willing to pay all the bills/do all the housework because she's too "disabled" to do anything, and was deterred from her move-out quest by the offering of a cat from her oh-so-abusive father she mooches off of. A bloody tissue after a picked scab is exactly how much Steph thinks is maximum offering to get her social justice demons to make her non-profit happen without her having to work.

It rubs you the wrong way because Stephanie routinely says dehumanizing shit about rural (esp. southern) poor people, and if she did take a road trip down to Florida/Georgia/Alabama/Carolinas/etc, we'd be treated to a bunch of pictures of barefoot poor kids playing outside houses that look just like that, captioned "Inbreds lol" on her blog and mastodon, along with countless jokes about banjos and wild fabricated stories about racism and transphobia or about how she totally fell in love with a Cute Queer Egg UwU who was totally QUEER and didn't know it yet out in the primitive stupid lands.

This is gross. I’m around staphs age and I’d never be like “hey 14 year old girl, send me a message sometime!” Because it’s inappropriate. Yes, even though I’m a woman. Women (or people with made up hellgenders) can rape and molest. I know we’re not supposed to a log but I’m super creeped out by that. Even people with good intentions should not socialize with children. What am I going to talk about with a 14 year old? Property taxes? Car insurance deductibles? How I threw my back out sneezing?

It's apparently actually good for kids and teens to socialize with (healthy, stable, intelligent) adults (it helps them develop socially and intellectually), but not Stephanie. They should not socialize with Stephanie, because she will only be a detriment.

Could someone clue me in about SSI? From what I've read, it seems like she would have had to have actually worked at some point to get it, but the way she's talking it sounds like she expects it just for faking a disability? Does she just mean more cash assistance aka welfare?

Also, I'm not really sure how she can classify that as 'substantial income' (like most people her age get from employment).

No you don't have to have worked to get SSI. If you start showing you're clearly autistic or w/e you can get it whenever. But without working you get the minimum which is like $700. It's called "supplemental" for a reason so if your piss poor job doesn't cover shit, at least you won't have your lights turned off.
