Until they push someone too far and they take justice in their hands. And yea they could take the guns but Humans are extremely creative when it comes to destruction.

I'm pretty sure it was always implied given Funimation is a 100 million dollar business owned by Sony. But, autism, I guess.

It makes sense, though.

Why should con X break contract with Vic? Because Vic is a rapist!
Why should dubbing studio Y never hire/contract Vic in the future? Because he touches children!
Hey, guys, how do we safely get Vic booted from anime? Let's call him an abuser!

And so on. The damage to Vic's character, and ultimately his wallet, comes from the defamation.

I can't remember where I heard it, probably some Israel loving boomer woman, but someone said that the Poles were the original jews. Hitler never says it's why he started killing them, but it would be quite ironic were it to be true.

I mean, think if he never sued.

He'd go off into a dark corner somewhere. He'd never have gotten KamehaCon back. Never would have gotten Bubbafest. There's a chance Matsuri might've dropped him. The only narrative on the table would've been Vic was a rapist, and since he never contradicted the allegations, he must be a rapist.
