I disagree with Nick that the conventions were hostile towards Ty with discovery stay in place and being unable to get affidavits.

The main issue that should be stressed in my opinion is that these conventions do not want drama. They see no reason to hinder their bottom dollar on something that could get their dealings with Funimation on even worse terms.

Without the ability to demand answers, you would not get these conventions to respond

Facts, but if conventions really held this true and disregarded fans Vic would be the only one invited. This guy has been professional + 10000 compared to Jamie, Monica, Sean etc who basically tell fans to fuck off on a daily basis if they don't like what they said. I forgot though Sean and Chris are on twitter probation, Funi is hoping their silence sweeps the leaks under the rug.

I may be misreading but I think the conventions are considered hostile because they aren't readily giving their info for whatever reason (the reason here being they don't want drama or w/e) and would need to be forced, but can't be forced with the discovery stay in place.

So like fucking Monica Rial after a soul train got run on her.

There's a specific rule allowing the defendants to appeal immediately.

"APPEAL FROM INTERLOCUTORY ORDER. (a) A person may appeal from an interlocutory order of a district court, county court at law, statutory probate court, or county court that. . .denies a motion to dismiss filed under Section 27.003" Tex. Civ. Prac. & Rem. § 51.014(12).

It's the plaintiff who can't appeal automatically.

If the defendants are unhappy with the denial of the TCPA as to the defamation counts, they can appeal immediately.
