both of these links will be worth following in the coming weeks and months. I am expecting a downward trend to begin if the case gets any worse.

I believe JMK's theory is that Ty will get paid then pass along a kickback to Nick. This raises the question of "what would the billing information from BHBH prove" but I'm not as dense as this jack off.

Yeah, because getting a nice juicy debarring for both of them is so much fun. Seriously why are we even wasting our time with this irrelevant gaymergayte faggot Kelly.
Two iq points lower and that dude would be cackling while shitting on his hallway.

Can't be disbarred if you're not a real lawyer to begin with

His gotchas so far have been entirely mundane and stupid. HA TY IS A FRIEND OF THE FAMILY GOTTEM! His last one of paying funimation a truckload of money is funny though. He's trying to communicate using the same words, but totally screws up the application.

But he's been boulder than everyone else.

In all honesty, I think BHBH would could be subpoenad to send a breakdown of payouts from the trust that the GFM pays into and see the records, but it would likely never be public knowledge outside of an insider leak.

I have absolutely no doubt in my mind that BHBH would refuse to turn that over due to Attorney Client Privilege and would happily ignore them to death if they tried to force it. Chupp seems to have a "fuck the text I know what the law MEANS" attitude but I don't think even he's silly enough to try THAT.

I think something that is getting overlooked was that something Chupp ruled on was overturned 7 years later. Just imagine that for the next 7 years Funimation and the clown squad is the main focus and more of their skeletons get thrown at us. All because they refused to pay the million for something they clearly did.

Whoever told them this would be over in a few months is gonna get some backlash. We definitely are in an at least 2 year ride it seems.

Nick mentioned that Chupp was basically bitchslapped by the Texas Supreme Court earlier in the week. That probably was stinging hard.

That plus probably not wanting to deal with a case he thinks might just be a he said - she said.

"Judges get bad reviews because they put people in jail"

...makes sense.

Well, since usually half the teams of all cases lose..........

I thought this was a joke but wow. How does he know they aren't just family for anybody?

I was expecting about 2 years. I think 7 is a bit too long but I can see it going for around 5 for sure.

This actually might be a saving grace for Funimation. Sony can't shut them down and absorb them into Aniplex USA if they 're undergoing legal proceedings, can they?

So what happened to all the people claiming "if you blame the judge you're a lolcow and just as bad as KV!"? Seems to me like the judge is in fact a spacker that needs to get his shit together.

We had several concern trolls and "chaos seekers" show up. That's what happened. A lot of them were newfags as of like, last week, still others all created their accounts the same weekend in July. They got bored, or they ran out of talking points, or Nick calmed enough people down with last night's stream.

This all included a guest appearance from the professional troll that seemingly was hired by Marvel Comics to target ComicsGate, Renfamous, under a sock account. Who knows what that portends, but if I had to guess... could Funi or Sony have hired a "PR Crisis Team?"

Oh this case was always going to take at minimum 2 years without a settlement. And remember this is round 1 of at least 2, we havent even sent Faggot (Sabot) his invite. Save some cake and confetti for his fat ass and this party lasts for half a decade minimum.

Maybe some unemployed ex-PR from 2016 who are experienced in "correcting the record".

So it sounds like a possiblity that there could be a motion to reconsider on the TI stuff for Monica and Ron, and by extension Funimation. I don't believe Marchi is going to be brought back until the appeals, if all the charges are out. But who knows.

All we can say is that the next up to 30 days is going to be quite interesting to watch. Make sure to invest in Conagra or General Mills.
It depends on Chupp's finalized order. Then I guess it's a motion to reconsider if Ty isn't satisfied with Chupp's decision.

If the case is entirely thrown out, Ty can immediately appeal. If Chupp allows some causes through, but throws out the other, the defendants can immediately appeal while Vic has to wait until the trial concludes (in whatever fashion).

Wonder if he finally took the binder from Ty to peruse while trying to come to a decision.

Oh I have no doubt BHBH would fight it. That said, there was clear evidence of TI and Chupp threw that out. I kinda feel like digging into him a little more on my own time, looking into other cases of his that HAVEN'T made it to the supreme court of TX...

If you do, be discrete. KickVic would LOVE to prejudice the judge, and that's the kind of thing that they could spin like mad.

A true anime fan knows that a mere 2 year wait is absolutely nothing! While it looks like our original expectations for Season 2 have been entirely subverted, it looks like that plot hasn’t actually been axed, we’re just getting a few additional arcs in between to build tension and uncertainty before the final boss.

Fuckin filler strikes again

I'm pretty sure that is priviledged information under the attorney-client priviledge, they surely could try it, but for that they would need a pretty good reason to do so.
If a subpoena for the records would be easy to obtain I'm convinced one of the defendants lawyers would already have done it, given the hateboner they all had for the GFM over the last months.
